Golf lessons

The boys have been doing golf lessons every tuesday since the first week in March.  They have challenges at the end of the lessons and both Brecken and Landon have won some of them.  On this day Brecken made a putt to win him a drink.  Landon also won I  think with a putt or chip and won a drink as well.  They have been liking the lessons, they just wish they had friends doing it with them.

 

Egg Origami

Brecken was bored one afternoon.  He decided to look up Easter Egg ideas and found an Origami Easter egg.  He has so much patients and wanted to make one.  He cut out papers and folded for hours.  I  got recruited to help cut out the papers and fold them into little triangles while he started to assemble the egg.  It took hours to make but he was so proud of it and wanted all the pictures and to show everyone he could his cool egg.  It now has a permanent spot on his book shelf. 

 

Honors Math Certificate

Brecken is in regular math for 7th grade.  His teacher let kids that were excelling in her class start to do extra honor work to earn the honors certificate.  You have to pass off these extra lessons and assignments each quarter to earn the certificate.  Brecken got his 3rd quarter certificate and is excited to finish the year as a math honors student.

TRANSFER NEWS INCOMING ️

TRANSFERS:

Okay y'all so we opened transfer news this morning and it was the most terrifying thing ever. We did it hunger games style (because my district has to be extra in everything we do) and it was actually so fun! I found out im training again and headed 8 hours north. Just as I thought oh maybe summer will come in a couple of months I got sent to a colder location out in the middle of nowhere. Yall theres not even a mall there. #I'mcooked. Anyway if yall have any fun activities to do let me know because there's nothing there  Wow it was a good 6 months in YSA...

BAPTIST CHURCH: 

Yall i went to church with Taylor and Rayden this week (old teaching friends still friends irl though) and it was fire! Haha I had never been to another church before and let's just say it was definitely intresting. They had drums, guitar, singers and umm ya i was definetly getting into it haha. I dont think my comp had as fun as a time as I did but I still thought it was fun! They had a good pastor preaching and it was definitely a different experience. They were serving coffee as well haha which was intresting to say the least. Anyway the worship band was fire and that was definetly the best part.

HIGHLIGHTS: 

♡ Went over to my favorite members house and played card games (virus game for the win)

♡ Went to a fire mexican restaurant (one of the few here actually in Edmonton) 

♡ Played Hackensack with ronak and the elders (we are not good at all)

♡Decided my quad needed some quad bonding so I pitched the idea to go to Chipotle and when we got there one of the sisters asked if we could take it home to eat and than she went in her room and took a nap

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT: 

Yall ive been cooking with my spiritual thoughts so today yall just get a scripture! 

Jacob 3: 

1: But behold, I, Jacob, would speak unto you that are pure in heart. Look unto God with firmness of mind, and pray unto him with exceeding faith, and he will console you in your afflictions, and he will plead your cause, and send down justice upon those who seek your destruction.

2: O all ye that are pure in heart, lift up your heads and receive the pleasing word of God, and feast upon his love; for ye may, if your minds are firm, forever.

I like the qualifier words they use. Firmness, exceeding, console, pleasing, feast, etc. I think its a good reminder to look unto god in all things. Its a great verse and I hope yall can get something amazing out of it
