Happy Happy Birthday!!

Preston's Birthday
8 Years old!! December 30th

In the mist of everything. We celebrated a important boys birthday, and a pretty big birthday. I cant believe he is 8. Preston started off his special day with presents, and eating French toast and Bacon. Then at 10 we headed up for his party. BYU played there bowl game at 10 and he invited everyone to wear blue and white, and cheer for his team. I went and got pizza, and his cake. We suprised him with a BYU cake. He was pretty excited because his team had just won. All thanks to him, he said. Which who am I to tell him different. He then got ready and we took the family plus a couple favorite cousins to the new Chipmunk movie. The kids loved it. Me not so much. Oh well. Then we headed back to the house for some dinner, movie, and sleep-over with the cousins. Sounds like a great day to me. He is such a GREAT son, He is so mindful of others, and is always trying to do his best and please others. He loves sports. All sports. He is very active. He loves the Utah Jazz, and BYU, and the Bronco's. But he will cheer for really anyone Dean is cheering for. He wants to be a basketball player and football player when he grows up, and wants to play for the hurricane Tigers, BYU, then the Bronco's. His favorite colors are blue and Green. He loves to read...if it's a book he's interested in, and has already finished one of his books we got him for Christmas. He is great and patient with his sisters. and loves school, and playing sports at recess. You are an amazing boy and I'm so proud of you, and cant wait to see everything you will accomplish because I know you can do anything you put your mind to.

Christmas Eve"s" style

My Mom always plans the best Christmas Eve parties. This year she didn't fail. First off. My little family put together our little gingerbread house. I think we eat more of the candy then ends up on it. Then we headed off to Grandpa and Grandma Eves. We of course had a great meal, then it was time for the games. Where we played a dice game (you had to roll doubles to go open a chocolate bar with mittens on and eat tell the next person rolls doubles) quiet fun, and hilarious.
We loved playing musical chairs as well, I never win, but I think it's the fact that my kids are the biggest babies when they lose, so I choose to get out before them, and keep them happy.
We also played our steal the Present game, which I of course ended up with a bag of bubble gum my favorite. Yes. Dean ended up with a BYU golf clip for his hat. Preston ended up with a little gold putting hole, and the girls both got some sort of coloring thing. We had a great time with family. We ended the night with a great spiritual high. We watched a great clip on the story of Jesus. The next morning we made the kids wait to see what Santa had brought, while we went to church with family. We sure got spoiled, and couldn't believe all that was brought. We spent the day up at grandma, and grandpas just hanging out and eating a great Christmas dinner.

Sweet Tooth!!

Annual Candy Making Day
or Sweet tooth fix day

We had our annual Candy Making day awhile back...and I'm just getting around to posting about it. Great fun was had by all. Well...we will say that even though candy can be a pain in the tush to figure out.
Hi Stephanie:)
We were also watching an important football game as well.

Just a couple baking beauties.
Well you might ask us how many people it takes to cook some toffee...4 you might say? Well we wouldn't know since it took us 3 times to make it. Here in this picture; Sarah, Stephanie's roommate captured. A perfect picture of us all looking at the candy wondering what we did wrong yet again.
Our lovely Carmel's.
Creamy fudge
Toffee....third times the charm. We did google toffee to see what we were doing wrong. Got to love the Internet.

Addison's Christmas Program

Starting Line Preschool
December 20th
Addison had her Preschool Christmas program this last week and did such a great job. You could hear her singing above everyone else, and she got to see Santa and get some presents. She had a great day. I'm so glad she was able to go, because we have had sickness at our house since last Thursday. Preston got it first, and it last 2 days...we had to cancel his Birthday party (poor boy).
Then Sunday night Shaylee got it, and was pretty bad tell Wednesday. I got it Monday night, but I don't think mine was to bad because by Tuesday morning I was alright. Then little Addison got it Tuesday night, into Wednesday. So we are all starting to feel better and hopefully in time to spend the holidays with family. These last two pictures are of Addison getting her gifts from her secret Santa, and the other is of her giving her gifts to the boy she drew. She was pretty excited if you cant tell by the pictures.

Dance Recital

A few pictures before the show. The girls were pretty excited this year because one of their best Friends was in the same dance class with them. They had such a great time.

The "Peanut Cracker"
a shortened version of the nutcracker
Dec 9th-10th
The girls recital this year was in Hurricane and all the dance students were part of a play called the peanut cracker. The girls were angles in the show. They did a great job with their ballet dance this year. They really enjoyed doing dance this semester with a new teacher and program.
These were a few of the girls biggest fans. Thank you all for coming. The girls were so excited to see people they new. Preston and Dean bought the girls flowers. They felt so special and loved the flowers. We came right home and the first thing out of Shaylee's mouth was. Mom we got to find a vase for our flowers to get them in water, so they wont die.

Christmas Spirit.

Festival of Trees
November 21st
I wish I could say I has pictures for any of this post, but sadly I do not. We did take some, but ended up giving grandma Monson her camera back and the pictures were on it.
Anyway we did end up walking around the festival of trees this year. They are all so beautiful and I wonder how they decorate the trees so pretty when mine sets at home looking like it does. Then I decided they have money, and I use what I can. The girls favorite tree was a barbie tree, and Preston's I think was a sports themed tree...go figure on both accounts. We went with Grandpa and Grandma Eves, and Aunt Stephanie, then went out to Paradise cafe for dinner. We had a really good time, and the food was really good. I know this picture is horrible, the lighting, the smiles, the eyes closed, but it's the only one we had still.

Dickens Festival
December 3rd
We headed down to St. George for the annual Dickens Festival, I really liked it this year. They had a lot of things I would have loved to buy. Of course we came home empty handed, but it was still fun to look, and get ideas. They kids favorite part was of course the free sample of food...especially the fudge. The love there chocolate. We had a great time, and the kids were definitely ready to go when we finely decided to leave. They were expecting more kids stuff...oh well. We then went out to eat to Wingers, which of course made up for all the walking around with the kids. Dean got the all you can eat wing promotion they have going on right now...and we had to laugh, because they only give you two wings with every order, so Dean kept telling the guy just put in a few orders at a time for me. It took like 20 minutes to get a new order, that's how they get their money off this promotion. People don't want to sit around and wait 20 minutes for their two wings to come. Oh, well it was still fun to get out and do a little Christmas shopping, and be with the family.
