Moving up...T-ball to Machine Pitch

He connected, but we notices in all his pictures...when he goes to swing, or hit the ball his eyes are closed. (so much for keeping your eye on the ball.)
I wonder if he can see here as well. I think it was a little big for his head...what do you think?

We've been so busy...(living in our car, and anywhere, but home) I haven't had a chance to post some pictures of Preston playing baseball. We are going into week three of machine pitch, as well as the last week for soccer. 3 weeks of both going on at the same time, plus another kid in soccer, and both girls in dance getting ready for their recital, we are ready to be done...or at least be down to only a couple things. Preston really likes baseball. I think he was a little nervous for machine pitch, so I just prayed he could hit it once so he would have some confidence and get a feel for it. They get about 6 pitches, to try and hit the ball. The first game he hit it his first time up to bat, the second time he had a few fouls, but couldn't get it in play. The second game he was able to bat 3 times and made it home each time. It is totally a different kind of atmosphere, and sport compared to soccer. (for me much more boring, I mean relaxing then soccer) I don't have tons of pictures, because not a lot goes on at this age. I will try and post more soon.

Easter Festivities!! {2011}

We had a great Easter this year, but also a little quite. Everyone usually heads down here during Easter, because of the weather. This year it was just a few of us...and no cousins for the kids. (just kidding little Tynlee was with us..)We tried to make it fun for them though. We started the weekend off with the annual Hurricane Easter egg hunt. Aunt Lisa and Tynlee came with us, while mom, aunt Stephanie, and uncle Devin went golfing that morning. Okay, Picture at least 300 kids, and one big women in the middle telling them when they could go collect the eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt.. Well some of the kids thought she said go...and off they went which made every other kid run full speed as well. This women in the middle was so upset she didn't get to say go. She was running around shoving the kids back....there was no stopping 300 kids, but it took her about 30 seconds to realize this fact. I on the other hand was laughing my head off at her trying to get kids to put back their prizes and go back under the ropes...ya right!!

After this we headed to grandpa and grandma Eves to get everyone else to go to the Easter car show. Preston really enjoys going with his dad and grandpa since they are so into all the old muscle cars. We girls had a great time just being in every one's company. Quin and Dani met up with us there then came over for a BBQ and swimming. We had my cousin Mark, Carlie, and their son Kason, Aunt Stephanie, Aunt Lisa, Uncle Devin, Tynlee, and My mom and dad all there. The water was nice and warm 91 degrees. The weather outside was fairly nice, but it was still warmer in the water then outside. The kids had a blast getting to finally swim in grandma's pool after a long winter. We swam to our hearts content, then onto another Easter Egg Hunt for my kids (way to much candy at my house.)

We let them just run around looking for eggs in their swim suits. It was a little cold, but they dried off fast, and had a blast finding them around the pool this year. We called it a night from there and had some family time.

Even Uncle Quin was getting in on the action.

Easter morning started out windy and rainy, but by the time I wanted to take pictures of my kids in their Easter outfits it was nice and sunny. The kids were so excited to go on a hunt to find their gift, they were all so excited for a new trampoline to put in our yard. Which is almost done. (More on that in another post). Then off to church, which by the way was amazing. Beautiful musical numbers, and talks all on the Savior, his life and Resurrection. (really a great meeting.).

The girls Addison, Tynlee, and Shaylee. Dressed in their Easter outfits (Side note..Tynlee's dress was the same one her mom wore when she was a baby, my mom put it on her for her Easter Dress).

We then came home, changed and headed off to Grandpa and Grandma Eves for Easter dinner.
Everyone came that was with us the day before..and we all had a blast, eating way to much food and Easter candy and playing games. Aunt Stephanie bought a Wii and we played Dance off. We loved it and are hooked. Can't wait tell next time. We had a great Easter weekend and enjoyed remembering our savior, being with family, and friends.

You can never have to many Easter egg hunts...

Since we this will be the first year we will not have all the Eves' cousins together for Easter, we decided to do an early Easter Egg hunt this last weekend while some of them were down for spring break. I love Easter Egg hunts, I'm like a kid again I want to go look for them. We have contemplated having an adult Easter Egg hunt...with some fun prizes in the eggs, but if any one knows my family we are all a little competitive, and I'm not sure if it would get out of hand. I also married a very competitive husband who has also passed it onto our son, so the legacy continues. Anyway sorry back to the egg hunt. It was a beautiful 85 degrees outside, no wind...just plain beautiful. We had fun hiding the eggs, and the kids had fun finding the eggs. After the hunt we all laid on the grass and talked, while the kids checked out their loot, I love days like that wish you could just pause time and enjoy it all little longer and hold onto that moment forever.

Easter Wreath....

No not Eat a Wreath...(Family)ha ha. Easter Wreath.

My Sister Lisa found a craft that she thought would be fun to do. It was cute, cheap...and easy...all three a big plus in my book. I didn't get a great picture, but we wrapped Easter eggs in different colored yarn. We bought a pretty big wreath, and our easy craft turned into a all day event with only one big wreath getting done. Mom got the big wreath because it fit her door. It was very easy, but who knew it would take awhile to wrap the eggs. I think it turned out very cute, and I can't wait to start mine. Which by the way will be half that size (Lisa and I went and bought a smaller size wreath) You will see it out next year for Easter:)
