This last week we finished up a few of are activities we have been doing this year. The kids really enjoyed their Soccer season and they both wish that it would have lasted longer...I think I would have too if it didn't coincide with Dance, and Baseball. They had so much fun and really did well.

Shaylee was my little surprise with year. I thought she would be my little girl who sat on the field and picked flowers and cried if someone took it from her...BOY was I wrong. She is the best little soccer player I've seen. She was a fast runner, even over the boys on her team. She loved to score, and many times I could hear her grunting while she was trying to get the ball from the group of kids. She even shoved (she didn't get that from me...I think she got that from grandma Eves, my mom said
Shaylee was just needing help to stay balanced so she would rely on others.) ;) Okay, mom!!! She would score goals each game and when she would we (her little fan club) would cheer...well she didn't like that part. She would turn around from scoring a goal and we would yell her name and cheer and she would stick her tongue on the side of her check (she does this when she is embarrassed or nervous) and look down at the grass. She wouldn't even acknowledge us over on the side lines. She had such a fun year and I think soccer is in her blood. (Yes!!! that's my girl).

Preston had a fun year as well...his was more of a building year. This was the first year they introduced throw-
In's and goalies, and position's. That being said, they had coaches from a girls home, who had never played soccer before, and really could care less, but were just excited to get out of the compound. So the kids really did not learn to much, and us parents tired to teach them, but it's hard when they don't have practice to show them. Preston did have fun this year, and is really good at dribbling the ball, and getting past people. He likes to be a forward and score, and he is pretty good at that position. Learning new positions wasn't to fun for any of the team, they all wanted to be forwards and score the goals, but it was fun for Preston to get to try his hand at goalie and defender as well. He had a great year, and really is a great Soccer player/ball handler for his little age. He loves to score, and had quite a few this year. We are proud of you little man.
