Scout Banquet!!
Blue & Gold Banquet
February 22nd
February 22nd
Preston has been in Cubs for about 2 months now. I work quiet a bit with the cub scout program in my calling as 2nd counselor in the Primary. I'm just now getting around to posting some pictures. This last pack meeting was the big blue and gold banquet. Preston earned his Bobcat, and well as a arts belt loop and nutrition belt loop.
He was so excited. For the blue and gold banquet every year the boys are supposed to bake a cake with there dad to bring to the meeting, they used to auction them off, but now they just let everyone eat them. We are pretty new to the scouting program, and I was unaware of how much effort should go into this cake that my boys were to do. This was Dean's 1st time at ever making a cake, and Preston was about as great as dad in the kitchen. Well we soon found out, you go all out with your cake, we just did a little "Y" to decorate our cake.
It tasted really, really, good. But we defiantly lacked in the decor part of it. They had a molly's nipple cake, a baseball stadium cake, many baseball cakes, a hamburger cake, a monster truck cake, and many more. We still had fun, and learned for next years...what was expected of us. We all had a great time though, and Preston is really loving cub scouts, and the boys in his den.

Tomorrow...
We were setting at the dinner table the other night, and I let Addison now her birthday was tomorrow. She replied no it is not mom, it's Wednesday. Which Preston replied yea, which is tomorrow Addy. She then held up her little figures and started yelling the day's of the week. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday... she then did it again, which were all looking at each other, because she is getting very frustrated, and she yells out " see there is no tomorrow in the days of the week". We all got a laugh out of that one. Preston couldn't stop laughing. Isn't it funny how kids think. No wonder she was confused. There is no tomorrow in the day's of the week. We love you miss Addison and all the funny things you do to make us smile and laugh each day.
couldn't help post this picture...it pretty much sums up my little Addy.

Missing
2 Front teeth
(plus a bottom one.)
(plus a bottom one.)
The tooth fairy has been making a regular stop at my house the last little while. We found out Shaylee not only had one loose tooth, but several. She lost her first one a a little while ago, and on Saturday she had dad pull out not one, but 2 more. So the tooth fairy had to come take away two teeth in one night from Miss Shaylee Monson. She is a little different from her mother, in that she likes having her teeth pulled out. She enjoys the feeling of it. I started crying before my dad even put his hand in my mouth. I know, I know. We are still trying to figure out how to eat things without making such a mess around the face, it is pretty cute though to watch, and I know she'll get it down soon.

Reports!!!
Dancing
January 26th
January 26th
Addison's preschool likes the kids to each do a report about something they are interested in or even like to do. She likes the kids to get in front of there peers and teach them. So Addison came home with her paper saying it was her turn to do a report. She new right off what she wanted to do it on. DANCING. We really had a lot of fun going back through some of her dance pictures to find some that would work. We then decided what she needed to talk about. She told me she could teach them a dance...well I didn't know about that, but we settled on her teaching them the 5 basic positions of ballet. She wore her little dance outfit, and brought all her costumes she has wore to different recitals. She did a great job. She told them how long she has been dancing, all the different kinds of dance she has done, her favorite kind of dancing, and a little about the recitals. She then taught them there 5 positions. So cute, even the boys got up and got into it. At that age it's still cool. She did a great job, and I only had to ask her a few questions to get her talking.
