Birthday Girl!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADDISON!!!
6 YEARS OLD!!

Addison turned six this last weekend.  She was so excited...because she got to have her first friend party.  She only has 4 girls besides herself in her Kindergarten class, so we invited everyone plus a friend from church.  We had so much fun.  Addison choose to do a Spa theme party.  We did hair, makeup, and of course our nails.  We also served lunch.  So by the time we got done with all that I was ready to be done for the day.  No, actually all the girls were really easy and great.  Dean said 100 times better then Preston's 18 friend party.  Addison was in heaven the whole day.

She wanted to try somewhere new for dinner, after her best cousin in the world told her were she had went to dinner for her birthday.  She loves A1 (I know she loves steak too, but mostly A1).  So she found out Emily got a steak, and ice cream for her birthday Addison decided she wanted to go there too.  So we took off to Texas Roadhouse for dinner.  She ate her A1 steak in like 2 minutes flat then was asking for more A1 just to eat on the fork.  I let her because there was nothing else about the meal she liked.  She didn't like there rolls, or the fries, or her birthday Ice cream.  She HATED the birthday saddle.  I literally had to pry her hands from the table to put her on it.  She let me know she did not like the place and would find A1 and steak some where else.  The other kids felt the same way.  Oh, well ...cant win them all.  She is at a fun age.  She loves to go to school, and learn.  She is very smart...but sometimes patients is hard for her and she doesn't last long doing certain things.  She loves to sing, and dance.  Shaylee and her put on many concerts for us at home.  She loves the color yellow, and her favorite food is frozen Tostino pizza and she loves A1.   She is the most loving kid.  She loves to give hugs, and say I love you at least 5 times a day.  That of course is low-balling it.  She is very excited to have a baby coming into the family.  She is always rubbing my stomach, and talking to the baby, but she has no patients to keep her hand there for to long to feel the baby kick.  She cant set still for a minute.  She is always on the go.  It often gives me anxiety.  I think she has to go pee all the time with how she moves...and most of the time she does.  (Ha Ha)  She is a mother hen, and very tender hearted.  I love her so much. We are so glad you are 6 baby girl.

Basketball has begun.

I did have some basketball pictures of Preston, but they are all so dark, you cant tell who is who.  I'll take some this week, and post them later.

We have officially started the basketball season down here.  Preston plays with 3-4 graders, so it's been interesting to see how he would adapted to playing with the older kids.  (He had to do it in football as well).  I don't see any difference between the two age groups, you got kids who are great in both age divisions and some that are learning.  It's been fun to go to a couple of games, and see how he's learning.  We also got to go to a free Dixie Basketball game Saturday night for any basketball players, and there families in Southern Utah.  We had a great time....well except Addison who only made it to half time.  Right of the bat she told me she liked the band, but hated when they played (What)???  anyway, it went all down hill from there.  I thought she would enjoy the dancers, but she didn't like the music.  So needless to say, Addison and I went and got an ice cream while the other's finished up the game.  Dean said Preston had a blast, yelling a cheering with the cheerleaders.  So at least someone in the family enjoyed themselves.  Also, Addison made me text dad as soon as we got to the car to let him know...She was beyond happy now that she didn't have to set through a basketball game.  Oh, that child of mine.

Wolf Badge!

Preston received his wolf badge in scouting this last pack Mtg.  Dean had to work that day so it was just me and the girls.  We are so proud of him he really worked hard this last year to complete it.  He also received a gold arrowhead, and a silver arrowhead.  Great job Preston.
