Cake Making..

It was our annual Blue and Gold banquet for the cub scouts.  With that the father's and son's are supposed to make a cake to bring.  They did a good job decorating it, and of course it was a BYU cake.

Be Mine..

Valentines this year was again low key for us.   We did our traditional hearts on the door starting February first.  The kids love this, and I enjoy looking for the good they did throughout the day, that I can write about on the hearts.  We started the day with Dean giving me breakfast in bed.  A banana.  (ha, ha) that about what my stomach can take when it comes to the mornings.  He was trying to think of everything to serve me for breakfast days before Valentines, but a banana is the only thing I knew I could handle.  He got me a few of my favorite treats, and I gave him a little gift as well, with a card.  They kids received a little valentines from mom and dad, and it was off to school to a fun day of love.  Dean headed off to clinical's, and I spent the day in classes helping with parties.  Great fun.  We were expecting company a little later, but I had a little complication with the pregnancy and we spent the afternoon after school down with dean in the ob, and ultrasound office.  Of course I didn't want to be there, I had plans, and I knew the Dr, and ultrasound lady didn't want to stay late on Valentines as well, but they did because they are awesome like that.  Everything ended OK.  Dean bought me flowers, and a treat, and I loved them.  He ended up going to get dinner to bring home for the night, while I rushed home to greet the company that went up to mom and dads tell we got home.  We had a fun night with family, and just enjoyed each others company.  Glad I wasn't out fighting the crowds for Valentines day.  I love my Husband, and Kids, and enjoyed the day with them.

Basketball

Preston had a fun basketball season this year.  It went by really fast which seems to happen with rec sports.  He would love for it to go on at least another month.  I for one am usually excited to have one sport over they seem to last a little too long, but this one did seem to go by too fast... I enjoy watching basketball.  First and main reason...its inside in a warm gym. (Amen)  All his other sports are outside in the wind and cold.  Well, if it's not cold then it's windy.  He was one of the younger ones this year, but his height was with him.  He is pretty tall for his age..(thank goodness he didn't get my height).

Student of the Month for Reading.

I feel so bad. I was on bed rest there for awhile.  I didn't get the mail to often.  When I did decided to check it our mail key was in the van which was in the shop for a week.  So the reason I tell you this is because Addison had a letter they send out in the mail telling their parents the kids will be surprised at an assembly for being Student of the Month in a certain category.  Well we went and picked up the kids early to go to my ultrasound back at the beginning of the month.  The kids come running out saying Addison was student of the month in Reading for the month of January.  I was so mad, I had missed it.  She would have loved going up to the front to receive her award.   I went home that night, and got the mail, and sure enough there was the letter right on top.  Oh well. So we waited and waited for her to get it from her teacher, she never gave it to her.  Finally we went into the office and the principle came out and gave it to her later this month.  She was excited, since Preston, and Shaylee have both received student of the months.   She is a great little girl, and is an awesome reader for her age.  Good job Addy we are so proud of everything you do.
