Activity days : Daddy Daughter Date
Shaylee and her Dad got to go to their first Daddy Daughter activity together for activity days. They both came home saying they had a lot of fun, and enjoyed one another's company. It was a western party so they had to dress up in their best western wear. Shaylee was a little bugged she didn't have a cowboy hat, but over all we found things that worked. They built rockets, learned a line dance, ate some yummy food, and played games. I don't think either will be forgetting this day anytime soon.

5 Months!!!
Wow, 5 months come and gone fast. Brecken is getting big. We went in for his Dr. apt and he was 14.3 lbs, and 25 1/2 "long. He carries most of the weight in his checks, because they told me he was only 8 % in weight. Which surprised me because he looks so big. He has rolled over a couple times from his tummy to back, but I think they were flukes, and that he still chooses not to do any type of rolling whatsoever. He is a talker and a loud one at that. He screams and yells so much it hurts your ears. I sometimes blow in his face so he has to take a break from all that loud talking. He likes to hear his voice. He Loves his rice cereal now that I know how to make it to his liking. He loves it warmed up. He also has had trouble going #2 since we started feeding him his rice cereal so I add apple juice to the cereal and that makes him like it even more. He takes 3 naps during that day one in the morning around 9. It only last about 45 minutes to and hour, then he is up tell about 12:30-1, and takes a long nap tell about 3. Then a cat nap around 5:5:30 that last about an half hour or 45 minutes. I would like for him to get rid of the two little naps and make it to just 2 2 hour naps a day but we aren't quiet there yet. He goes to bed around 9 and is up around 6-7 sometimes earlier, but the earliest I will get him out of his crib is 6:30. He still wakes up in the night sometimes, and that's no fun. The kids are still crazy about him, and love him to pieces. He is a little stinker, and sometimes the kids get sick of hearing his crying. He hates the car, and his car seat with a passion. Oh he cries whenever he get put in there. So we don't get out much because I hate to fight him. He loves to be read to and enjoys eating anything he can get his hands on. Everything goes straight to his mouth. He is starting to sit up a little. He usually ends up on his face. He starts out tall then slowly goes lower and lower until his face is in the carpet. He loves the outside still and enjoys the bike for the most part. He loves his swing, and that usually calms him down. We love his laugh, and are constantly trying to make him laugh. I think he gets sick of all of us. He is such a blessing in our lives, and we wouldn't change anything for the world. So here are some pictures from this last month.
I love this picture. Such a look of interest. We were watching General Conference, and he loved watching some of the talks.

Shaylee's Baptism!!
October 12, 2013
Shaylee's Baptism day!!!
Shaylee had her baptism this last weekend. She had waited a long time for this day, and was so excited. She wanted to have both grandpas give talks. Grandpa Monson talked on Baptism, and did a wonderful job. He sure knows how to keep people interested and loving what he is saying. Grandpa Eves, talked on the Holy Ghost, and different things that holy ghost is like. We loved and appreciated both talks. Shaylee told me she wanted to sing a song all by herself for her baptism. She sang "I like to look for Rainbows." She surprised me by saying this but she did a wonderful job, and has such a wonderful voice. We were so blessed to have great family and friends come and support Shaylee and our family. What a wonderful and special day. Dean baptized and confirmed her and did such a great job. We are so blessed.
