Addison's teacher at the beginning of the year suggested having her eyes checked. We made an appointment, and a couple weeks later we were at our appointment. We found out that Addison's eyes are actually just fine. The Dr said he probably wouldn't have recommended glasses, but thought it might help in class. She is just a little farsighted. Not even enough to get glasses he said, but since Addison has a hard time concentrating in class he thought maybe this might help. So our insurance covered it and I thought why not try it and see how it goes. If something happens to them, the Dr. said maybe don't worry about replacing them, if you can't tell a difference in school or reading, that's about how much she needs them. Addison didn't want them at first, but after getting so many compliments she feels special with her glasses and loves them. She only has to wear them while she's in class, not at recess or any other time during the day, unless she is reading. Will see if it helps Addison out in school, but either way this girl sure looks cute with her glasses. Love her.

Tuacahn's Joseph
Dad and Mom Monson invited us to Tuacahn this last Monday. We went to Joseph and the amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. We started the night out with Pizza Factory…of course. Then we headed out to Tuacahn. We meet up with Dean there and enjoyed spending the evening with cousins, and family. The kids love the show. Shaylee even put it up there with last years "starlight express". That is her all time favorite show. The night was so pleasant and I'm all for these fall shows, instead of the middle of the summer ones. The kids had school the next day, but we didn't get home to to late so it wasn't too bad.

Dixie College Football Game/Tailgate Party
Sisters…and French Braids
The girls have been practicing the French Braid on each other for awhile now. This past weekend Shaylee figured out the French braid. Addison was nice enough to hold still for long periods of time so Shaylee could learn. I sure do LOVE that these two have each other. Sisters are the BEST!!!

Labor Day Weekend.
Yep, the title says it all. I'm a little behind. I was waiting for a few pictures from dean before I posted anything. We did a lot of shopping this weekend. We new with labor day prices for appliances and things would be cheapest now then when we needed them for our house. So we bought them early so we could get a better deal on them. We did some shopping around on Friday, then we woke up early on Saturday and headed to the Peach day parade and to just spend some time at Peach days. The parade was really fun this year, we had my Sis Lisa, Devin, and Tynlee come as well. The parade was long for a hurricane parade, and the kids left with their body weight in candy!! We walked around at the booths, then ended up getting a few food items. Namely Waffle Bliss. I don't care for waffles, but these are nothing like waffles. They were more like a cookie dessert. So good. After that we headed back to the house were we swam, and then headed back down to St. George to do some more shopping. Monday of course we headed out to look for more deals with the grandparents and Lisa, Devin, and Tynlee then had lunch with the family. Jimmy Johns is one of our favorites. Even Breck likes it. Afterwards Dean took the kids fishing, I stayed with Breck while he napped. It was so hot they ended up swimming in the lake. We came home, and had a dinner with the family and American Ninja Warrior to end the night.

It's in the air...
No it's not Fall yet down this way, but Soccer season is in full swing. Preston is still on his same club team, and so far they are 2-1. The last game our team was doing so well coach moved Preston up to forward…a position he has very much missed since coach has needed him on Defense. He scored, and was really excited to do that since it's been awhile. We coached Addison's team's first game. They also won 8-2. Addison scored 3 goals, and had a blast. I coached Shaylee's first game this weekend. They also won. It was a close game though. We were down 2-0 going into the last quarter. Shaylee scored first for our team, and she was really excited because she had taken so many shots on goal there goalie was just amazing. We ended up winning 3-2. So, so far so good. The kids are having fun doing a sport they all love, and mom and dad love it, because it's a sport Dean and I both grew up playing and loving. So it's fun to help coach and be there for the kids. Since I've coached the girls games so far…I have yet to get any pictures (to busy yelling, and subbing :)). I have got a few of Preston, and that will have to do tell I can get to the girls game without having Breck or to coach.
