Happy New Year
Monson Family Pictures. 2015. Preston 11, Shaylee 10, Addison 8, Brecken 2, Sure do love this family of mine.
Breck's Chin
While I was setting by Brecken eating dinner at the counter he decided to get off his stool all by himself. His foot got stuck, and he hit his chin (not very hard mind you ) on the end of my stool. When I got to him he was hardly crying, until he saw the blood. We thought stitches Dean and Devin were going to do it, but as we got looking Dean had all the stuff to numb it and glue it up so we went that route. Over all he was pretty brave, and held still for the most part while Dean worked on him. Hopefully the glue will hold up and we won't need to stitch it up.
Preston's 12!!
We have a big 12 year old in our house. Its Preston's year to have a party, but we decided to wait tell school started back up, so more people would be in town and it wouldn't be so busy. We started off his day with a Yummy Breakfast from McDonald's, per birthday boys request. We opened up gifts before dad left for work. He got a tool kit for his tree house him and some friends are building. He also got surprise Jazz tickets to a game this coming Saturday with his Dad, and a jersey from one of the players on the team. He is super excited about this present and has told everyone. Later that morning one of his good friends dropped off balloons, and donuts for him. Kaden stayed for the morning. He invited couple friends to play around in the church gym, while I finished the bulletin board for the Primary. After we finished up at the church We all went to DQ to get lunch. Grandpa then took Preston over to work on his Tree house. He opened up some great gifts from both grandparents 20$, and a iTunes, and Dairy Queen gift card. He's spoiled. We then had dad bring home Preston's favorite Pizza Factory. Preston had a big new years Eve party to go to that night, and I let the girls invite friends over to do the same at our house. So we stayed home and brought dinner to us. After Dinner he headed off to his big party, and they all sang to him watched movies and played games. Over all I think he had a great day. He is a great boy. He gives everything he does 100 percent. He works hard at school, and sports, as well as at home. He is a great helper and a fast learner. He loves anything mint, and playing soccer, Basketball and golf are a close second followed by football. He is enjoying his first year in band with the drums, and loves it. He will be getting the priesthood, and that's the most exciting thing of all for all of us. We love you Preston.
