Father's Day!!
A Visit.
We had a fun weekend with the Monson side of the family. Grandpa and Grandma, Heidi and her family came down to visit all us monsoon's down here in Southern Utah. We started the fun off Thursday with some swimming of course. We got in about 9:30, and the kids didn't stop swimming only to eat. The weather was nice and warm, and we stayed in tell about 2:30. We met up with them again the next morning to go to the 1$ movies down in St. George. We saw monsters vs aliens. After that we met up with everyone at the Pizza Factory, and had lunch all together. The rest of the family all went swimming again, but my kids were done with swimming for the week. They have swim team every morning, and then we swam everyday that week. So we went home and let Breck nap. Later the boys went golfing with dad and Quin, while us girls wrapped some Father's Day presents, and grabbed a bite to eat. Saturday morning we met back up with everyone before they headed home, to eat at Golden Coral for their Breakfast. My kids love this. They get to eat at the desert bar for breakfast after they eat their real breakfast. It only happens maybe twice a year so we let them live it up. We sure do love seeing family and being around everyone. Cant wait until next time.
Grandma tried to help me get a picture of Kai, and Breck, but they didn't want to be by each other, and were to busy swimming to want a picture, so this is the best one we got.

Soccer Summer Games!
Oh, the fun we had this last week. Starting Monday we had practices for both Preston and Shaylee for the Summer games. Everyday we had Soccer that week. Preston played on his regular team, minus a few players, and Shaylee was asked by a Boys coach to play on a ALL BOYS team this would all be their first time playing since you have to be at least 9 to play in the summer games. She was so excited!! We showed up to practice, and we heard…."What's a girl doing here?" "We don't want a girl on our team." I could see Shaylees confidence going down a little. She asked me to stay for a little bit tell coach was ready to start practice. So I played pass with her tell coach came over. He told the boys, that the best teams he's played against have girls, and they always do great. That helped the boys a little. We came right back after Dean got home and watched her practice a little more. Games started for us Thursday @ 10:30 would be Preston's first game, then Shaylee would play right after at 11:45, then Shaylee again at 3:30, so we knew we had a long day ahead of us. Luckly my mom wanted to come with me, and all the fields had parks by them. So Addison, and Brecken weren't to bored. Preston's game was a hard fought one, after being up the whole game they ended up losing by one the last 2 minutes. It was a heart breaker. Shaylee's game they also lost. I think it was because it was there first game they have ever played together. They played so much better the second game, and Shaylee scored a goal. In between games, we went to a park and had a lunch and played for awhile, and tried to get Breck to take a little nap. The weather was so nice and cloudy that it was really pleasant to sit outside all day. The next day, Friday we had 3 more games, an 8:00 game for Preston, Shaylee had a 10:30, and then a 4:00. So we were up and out the door by 6:30. Preston's game was first the boys did so good again, but after being ahead the whole game, they ended in a tie. Shaylee's game was a good one, and they ended up winning by like 5 or 6, Shaylee had a great game again, and scored a goal. So that put them in competition for the bronze medal. Preston's last game would determine if they would get to play for a medal. They ended up losing, and it was a hard lose. The boys played hard, and we were so proud of them. Shaylee's medal game was Saturday morning at 9:30, so for the third day in a row we all headed up to Cedar. This time, Dean would get to see Shaylee play, he made it to one of Preston's as well. Grandpa, and Grandma Eves came up again to support her as well. They had a great game, they won like 6-0. Shaylee had 4 goals, and the boys were singing a different tune when all was said and done. The coach said he would take her on their regular team, but he new Dean would be coaching her this fall. They won the bronze medal. Shaylee owned that stage with her medal and getting her picture taken. All the parents were laughing how Shaylee had her hands on her hips smiling away and posing away, and the boys wouldn't even look at the camera. I sure do love this tom boy/ girlie girl. We sure had a fun and memorable week.
If you can't see Shaylee it's because she is the leader of the pack, and in front with the ball.
