Christmas 2016!!

Preston 12, Shaylee 11, Addison 9, Brecken 3, and Landon 2 months.

 Christmas morning was great.  With a new baby I was in no hurry to get up early, but Dean sure was.  He was in the shower and dressed before any of the kids were up.  I finally woke up while I heard the shower going, but stayed in bed.  Christmas was on a Sunday this year, but we all went to my mom and dads ward at 1:00 so we had plenty of time to open gifts.  We got breakfast in the oven, which I made the night before and we called for the kids to head down stairs.  They all were excited and came a running.  Brecken had asked Santa for a train set, and I knew he loved to draw and write and color so we got him a Easle.  Preston asked for a hybrid golf club.  Shaylee asked for a Boogie board.  (its like a writing/ drawing board, and Addison asked for some fun science kits.  They also received some Polaroid cameras, and portable DVD players.  Landon got some hand puppets, and rattles.  I think we got spoiled and sure had the best Christmas ever.  After opening presents we got ready for Church and headed over to Grandpa and Grandma Eves.  We had a great Christmas program, and then headed back over to there  house for Sunday dinner, and gift opening.  They always spoil all of us and we sure do love them so much.  We came home later that evening and Face timed with grandpa and grandma Monson.  We sure do love Face Time so we can see and talk to them.  We miss them and love them and were really spoiled this year with what we received from them as well.  We truly are blessed with great family and parents.

Christmas Eve!!!

 Christmas Eve…we had just had throw ups the day before so we didn't want to give it to anyone else.  Dean woke up and got everyone McDonald's for breakfast.  We usually go to kneaders with everyone, but sickness we stayed in.  We then got ready and cleaned, and wrapped some gifts while it rained and snowed outside.  Later in the afternoon we made treats for our Christmas Eve party and got food ready for our party as well.  We played games and watched a Christmas show.  That night we ate wings and jimmy johns and yummy dips.  We then had our Christmas white elephant and had a great time stealing each others gifts.  We then had dad do a Nativity and Testimony program, followed by the kids exchanging gift with each other.  We then ended the night with our Christmas Pajamas and watching ELF.  I sure do love my little family.  It was a little lonely that week just being us, but we made the most of it and the kids got a long great.

 Preston had Brecken and gave him a basketball and Mickey Mouse bath toys.  Shaylee had Preston and got him BYU socks and mints.  Addison had Landon and gave him a chew toy.  Brecken had Shaylee and got her goalie gloves, and Landon had Addison and got her some knee length under armor socks.  They all loved their gifts from each other and were so excited to give them.

Jazz Contest Winners.

 We always watch the Jazz games, and every time we do we watch this contest where if you take a picture and post it on social media you could win a 100$ visa card.  Well we had been cooped up in the house because of sickness at Christmas time so I told Preston we were going to do it and to be in charge of it.  He came up with the idea to put Santa in a jersey, and got everything ready.  I made sure to get all the kids in the picture and we snapped it and sent it off.  They chose the winner at the end of the game, and they chose our picture.  The kids, heck even Dean was super excited to winner. They also loved seeing themselves on TV.

Christmas Eve Eve

 The week of Christmas Brecken decided to get sick.  It started early Wednesday morning or Tuesday night.  He went all day Wednesday being sick, and then we relaxed and stuck around the house Thursday to make sure he was good.  He did awesome, but Thursday night Shaylee came in throwing up.  By this time we figured we might be spending Christmas Eve by ourselves.  We made Gingerbread houses, and went to the movies friday.  While we were waiting to go into the movies Brecken decided to get sick again. We ran him into the bathroom where he threw up a ton.  We still went to the movie "Sing", and most of us enjoyed it.  We then headed home, and relaxed watching the Jazz game and watching Christmas movies.
