DaddyDaughter Activity Days Cake Decorating

The girls had a blast with their dad this last week going to activity days.  It was our yearly daddy daughter activity.  They were supposed to go on a picnic and hiking, but the weather didn't want to cooperate.  They ended up having an indoor picnic with a cake decorating contest.  The girls had to draw out  piece of paper from a bowl, and try and create a cake with the word on the picture.  Addison got a whale, and went to town decorating her abstract whale….dean said she didn't want any help and finished fairy fast…that sounds like Addy.  Shaylee on the other hand, is very precise and had to have things a certain way, and Dean couldn't leave her side.  She drew out a bike.  Both cakes turned out exactly as the girls hoped and they both had an awesome time with there dad.

Su Real Club Fall Soccer

We are underway with Fall Soccer this year.  The Season started Aug 20th.  Preston is playing up a year with the 02' which is more like 2 years, since he is the youngest 03' you can be, lol!! Darn December 30th birthday!  He is liking his position though, and the new coach.  The team is a mixture of 02-03, so it's been a learning and growing year.  Shaylee and Dean are going at it again this year.  Most of our team is 06, but we had to play up in 05' year because of Shaylee and 2 other girls.  That hasn't stopped them though.  We haven't lost yet, and tied the other really good team in our league, which was a first for us.  We are all excited for that one.  Addison is also playing up she is an 07' and they didn't have enough for a team in her age group so she moved up to the 06' team.  They are a new team, and are learning a lot their first year.  She loves her coach and team.  Sure do love this soccer group of ours.  Brecken could've played on a kicks league, but we decided with 3 games, plus baby coming we better wait tell next year.

Labor Day Weekend Soccer Tournament

Preston was asked to play as a guest player for another team over Labor Day weekend.  We thought it would be fun because the tournament was up around Dean's parents neck of the woods.  We signed him up and paid the dues.  The next day or two I found out from the Dr, I needed to stay close to home, and needed to be extra watched the next week.  We ended up staying home and sending him up with Aunt Stephanie.  Grandpa and Grandma Monson and Her took care of him that weekend, and went to his games, fed him, and made sure he played well.  We sure have a wonderful family and support system.  Preston had a great weekend spending some one on one time with Grandpa Monson, and Aunt Stephanie.  Memories were for sure made.

First Court of Honor.

Preston has earned quiet a few merit badges over the summer.  They had a big Stake court of Honor Sunday evening, and he was able to receive them.  He worked really hard for some of them, and we are proud of him.  He got his environmental science, wood carving, wilderness survival, communications, citizenship in the community, and finger printing.

Peach days/Labor day Weekend

We had a great Labor Day Weekend.  We were supposed to head up north for Preston's Soccer Tournament he was in, but we sent him up with Aunt Stephanie instead.  I was told by the Dr I couldn't go or it might make me go into labor on Labor day….j/k, but really.  So, the girls, Breck, Dean and I made the most of what we could with me being so limited, and started our weekend off with a little shopping for the girls, out to eat, and home to watch a classic Disney Robin Hood.  The kids actually really liked it.  The next morning we hit up the Peach day parade, and Dean and the girls with grandma and grandpa Eves walked around all the booths.  I kept a chair company in the shade while I listened to a concert going on.  After Peach days we came home and had some down time watching some football games.  We then headed off to Go bowling at Fiesta Fun.  Brecken LOVES to bowl, and wants every turn to be his.  So the poor girls and Dean kept taking turns helping Breck have some of their turns.   We brought home dinner, and enjoyed the evening while waiting for the BYU game to start.  Sunday Evening we went to Grandpa and Grandma Eves and hung out with them.  Then Dean and the girls set up a tent in the backyard, and slept outside with Breck.  They were all in heaven.  The next morning we got up early to mow the lawn and head down to Golden Coral for Breakfast and more shopping.  We came home to meet Preston who was on is way home, and then went swimming and hung out with family the rest of the day.  Such a great and relaxing weekend.

Golfing as a Family

We decided to hit up the golf course a couple Saturdays ago.  All the kids had a bye in Soccer so we thought it would be a perfect time.  Plus, the weather was amazing.  The kids had all done a golf camp earlier in the summer, and so they golfed for free.  The guy running the counter let us go out with 2 carts and Dean playing for $10.  Cant beat that!!  We all had fun.  Breck couldn't stand to miss the ball and would get so frustrated with himself whenever he missed.   We all loved spending time together, and golfing together.  So much fun.
