Landon is 5 Months

Landon turned 5 months on the 20th.  He had a lot of firsts this last month. First family hike in warm weather. First Trip to Vegas, First rolling over, First time trying Oatmeal Cereal, First swimming in a pool/lazy river, First hotel stay, and I'm sure many more I just cant remember.  He still is a harder baby.  He isn't content unless someone is giving him their attention and he likes to be held all the time.  He doesn't like tummy time. He does like the oatmeal cereal and really likes it warmed up with a little apple juice mixed in.  He seems to be growing well and, and is more alert and awake.  He loves to sleep in his crib and hates being held to fall asleep.  Sundays are rough.  He enjoys playing with his toys and things dangling in front of him...everything ends up in his mouth.  He still hates a Binky .  Yes, we still try because he just is not a content little guy.  He sleeps rather well and we sure do love him to pieces!!!  Happy 5 Months Landon Kirk Monson

Tahiti Village Spring Break 2017

We had a great over all relaxing spring break.  Dean got work off for Wednesday and Thursday and we headed down to Vegas to play.  We went to Tahiti Village and the weather couldn't have been more perfect.  This hotel is known for their family friendly environment and swimming area.  The lazy river was the kids favorite as well as the sand beach area.  We left Wednesday morning during Landon's first nap.  We got to the hotel about 11:00 and went straight to the water.  Dean went to get lunch while the kids played.  Landon struggled this day and screamed quiet a bit.  We played tell about 4 then went shopping and out to eat.  Everything was within walking distance from our hotel.  Thursday we meet up with some of my family and spent the day swimming with them.  Today Landon loved the water so much better and loved being outside.  He took great naps so he was pretty happy.  We later met up with the family at the cheesecake factory.  Yummy!!! We then went shopping again, and got the kids some spring clothes.  Preston is on a growth spurt and we can't see to keep him in clothes before they become to short.  Landon slept like a champ on this trip and we had so much fun as a family.  Wish it was a little longer, we checked out Friday morning and came back to reality and soccer games for Saturday morning.  It was a blast while it lasted.
