Brecken

Preston was ordained a teacher on Sunday.  We couldn't find Brecken when it was time to go into the bishops office.  I went around the corner and saw him down the hall sitting in the seat with his leg up like this reading out of the friend.  I thought it was the cutest thing ever.  I had to grab my phone and snap some shots before he noticed me.  After church that same day Brecken came to me and told me he wanted to make a design with beads he had seen.  I told him okay, and I could help him make sure he was on the right line.  He would do a line, and come show me and then we would talk about the next line.  He started his project around 2:00, and by 5:30 it was complete.  He loved it and was so proud of himself.  What 4 year old has that much patients to do this kind of stuff start to finish in a day.  He is such a creative little guy, and I love watching how his brain works.  We sure do love him.

Landon update...13-14 months.

Landon is getting bigger and bigger each day.  He is into everything.  His favorite being books.  When he is content I'll find him over by the book cabinet with all the books spread out everywhere just looking through them all.  When he is happy and content he stays there for quiet a while.  I do have to say "Happy and content", because lets be honest he usually isn't.  So we take it when we can get it.  He also still loves the bath and has learned to climb into them if someone else is in there.  He's done it to Brecken a couple times.  He also, loves being outside and exploring things.  He will not get on his little trike or his scooter, because he doesn't know how to move them with his feet...(we've been showing him and trying forever to teach him), but he does love to push them around with his hands.  The other day I finally got him to at least stand on the scooter while I pushed him around.  He liked it a lot.  He waves and tries to yell bye...it come out more like ie, ie, but it's still cute.  He says mama, or mom, and da da.  He can say and sign "More", he trys to say please. It usually comes out like eess. He is trying though.  His language though does mostly consist of yelling lots and lots of yelling and crying.  We are hoping to work through that and it does seem to be doing a little better.  He has 10 teeth that have come in 3 on top 3 on bottom and both sets of his 1 year old molars.  number 11 is trying to poke through as I write this.  He loves when dad lifts him up to the hoop and he drops the ball in.  He loves going up the stairs and getting in all the kids rooms.  He loves for people to read to him.  We just moved to 9:00 church and he actually did quiet well.  Hope it continues.  He seems to be growing bigger, but still seems on the short side of the scale for height. Hopefully he doesn't get his moms genes in that department.  He is learning, and growing and seems to be healthy and, we love him to pieces.

History Fair!

Addison decided to do the history fair with a few friends this year.  I didn't even have to help once.  They did it all by themselves for 2 days straight.  Of course they waited tell the last minute to turn it in, but they won 3rd place out of the whole school.  She was pretty excited, and so were we.  They did an exhibit, and hopefully I can get a picture of it soon.  One of the girls is keeping it at her house.  They did it on the revolutionary war.  They made the beach out of crunched up cherrios, used glue and blue glitter for the ocean, they made boats, and things out of tinfoil, and had soliders.  They move onto district and have to present their project their as well.  Great job Addison.

Brecken's First Shave..

Brecken won a batman shaving kit at a birthday party he went to.  He was pretty excited to bring it home and use it.  Dad showed him how everything worked and was showing Brecken how to use the razor, Brecken took it from him and just started doing his own thing.  He didn't care how it was supposed to be done, he just wanted to do it himself and whatever way he wanted.  He sure is a cute one though.

Preston's 14th Birthday and Jazz game

Preston had his 14th Birthday on December 30th.  For Christmas aunt Stephanie had gotten all the boys Jazz tickets for Christmas.  It was for the game of the year against the Cavs.  The boys were so excited and left Saturday morning to head up.  They stopped at Red Lobster and ate there for Preston's birthday dinner, then headed to the game.  It was one of the best games ever of the Jazz, they played amazing and ended up winning 104-101.  Us girls had fun shopping, painting our nail and eating dinner with Grandma aunt Stephie and Marci, Kendyll.  We ended up eating at Village Inn, because everything else was booked for a Saturday night.  We love Preston and cant believe 14 years has flown by.  He loves sports and hanging out with friends, he is very smart and gets 4.0 each semester.  We love him and our glad he is part of our family.

Christmas Day!

Christmas Morning we "dean and I" . Could hear some of the kids up around 6:30, we finally got up around 7:30 and woke up Landon.  Then went and got the rest of the kids.  I sure do love Christmas the kids are so fun and excited, and we were so blessed this year.  After we opened presents and at Breakfast we got ready and headed over to Grandpa and Grandma eves for Gift exchanges and lunch.  We then headed home for naps, and then went down to Matt and Marci's, looked at their Christmas and then went back to mom and dad's to eat dinner and get in the hot tub.  We then came home and watched a movie and went to bed after a long but good Christmas day.
