Su-Real 2017-2018 Season

We finally finished out this year of soccer.  It was a long season it felt like, with some Saturday's having up to 5 games.  We made it and the kids had a great year learning and growing so much.  Addison was on a 07 team, and tried out a few position this year since it's her first year.  Shaylee had a great year with dad, and played forward, and tried out defense a couple times as well.  Preston got to play up as middle field and forward, and really did great up there.  He had a great season.  We've decided to be done coaching this year.  Its been bitter sweet, and it's for the best.  It would be good for Shaylee to get another coach to learn and grow from, besides dad.  Yay, for free Saturday's and week nights.

Preston's Guitar Concert

Preston played Guitar for the 8th grade year.  He has grown to love it, even if it does hurt his figures.  He played really well at his concert and it was fun to hear his progression.  He was in Guitar 1 his first term, and then Guitar 2 his second term.

Preston's Award Night.

Preston was invited to the Middle Schools award night.  He was given an award for a 4.0 all 3 trimesters.  He works hard, and strives to do his best.  I was a proud mom and let him know by making him go and get his award.  He said most of his friends werent going and would get their awards the next day at school.  I was the mean mom who made him go and get his award so I could get pictures.  Sure do love this boy, and the young man he is turning into.  Just wish he would let me hug him a little more...lol...

Brecken turns "5"!!

Brecken had his 5th Birthday on May 9th.  He was so excited.  All of his friends had already turned 5 so he was so ready to be older.  He had his day planned weeks before.  He wanted to wake up and eat donuts, open presents, go to the dollar store, eat at Jimmy Johns for lunch with grandpa and grandma Eves, Play with Owen, and then eat DQ for dinner, and go to his baseball game.  He was easy to please and we were able to cross everything off his list.  The Friday after his birthday we had his big 5 year old party.  He invited friends from the ward, preschool, and cousins.  He didn't want a theme party...Just lots of games.  We played musical chairs, pin the tail on the donkey, tramp games, pop the balloon,  balloon toss, and a treasure hunt.  Over all I think he had a great birthday party.  The girls got pulled out of school and helped me decorate, and make lunches, and then helped run that whole party.  It was great.  We then had cake for this cute 5 year old, and ended his birthday week.  He loves to color and draw,  Loves to sing, and dance, loves riding his bike or scooter.  He reads and can write.  He is definitely ready for kindergarten or beyond.  He is a very loving soul, and is tender hearted.  He loves swimming and cant wait for grandma's pool to heat up for the summer.

Spring 2018 Piano recital

Another piano recital has come and gone.  The kids all practiced really hard and had their pieces memorized.  The all did amazing.  Preston is wanting to be done, but he is doing so good I just think one more year....we will see though.  Sure do love listening to music in our home.

School Spring Fling

We had our annual schools spring fling and fun run.  Addison raised money and had to run so many laps in a certain amount of time.  She exceeded her goal and had a blast.  We showed up to cheer her on and blow bubbles at her.  She ran a lap with Landon, and Breck got out there and blasted them with bubbles.  We had a great time at the spring fling.  All the bigger kids ran off with friends, and we hung out with the two Little's.  Addison won a basket and was super excited about it.  I think she gave most everything to Brecken though.  Over all it was a fun family night.

2018 Jazz playoff Game #1

Preston and Dean are the biggest Utah Jazz fans ever. They sit and watch every game together.  Analyze, talk, and yell at the refs, and players.  I love watching them bond over the games each week.  This year my sister Stephanie surprised them with Jazz tickets for Christmas.  They loved it and I let Preston know that was his Jazz fix for the year.  Well when the Jazz sealed a spot in the playoffs I knew we needed to get tickets for those 2.  I kept looking online and found some of course that were way up high....but it was the whole experience we were paying for anyway right?  Dean had never been to a playoff game and so I let him know I got tickets, and told him we needed to surprise Preston.  The night before the big game Preston was at a big scout event helping out.  After he was done we told him he needed to hurry home and pack a bag if he wanted to make it up to the playoff game.  That boy doesn't show to much emotion, but what he did show I could tell he was pretty excited.  One of his best friends and our neighbors the Wheelers were up to the game to and Preston and Dean ran into them at the pregame.  They were all pretty excited to be there.  They won the game, and the guys say it was the best game they've ever been too.  That's saying a lot because they had lower bowl seats to the calves game on Labron and Preston's birthday and we won them by 3.  They said nothing could beat that game,  but they were proven wrong.  Brecken also went up and hang out with Grandma Monson and had a blast.  She sure does spoil her grand kids.
