Somehow Aunt Stephanie got asked to coach my girls teams again. She was more then willing and we love having her as a coach. She is so knowledgeable with the game, and wants the girls to have a passion/love and knowledge of it as well. It was a long season with games starting in November going through Christmas and starting back up in January. Addison's team, and Shaylee's team learned a lot but both had a hard year with a lot of girls on the team having not ever played before. We love aunt Stephanie and are grateful for all the practice and game hours she put in to teach our daughters the game. I didn't get a team picture of Shaylee's team with Stephanie so this random picture will have to do.

Addison's 12 Birthday!
This spunky girl turned 12 Jan 25th. She was so excited for this day and had been planning her birthday party for a month. She requested donuts for her birthday breakfast. We made sure we got her favorites. Which is usually white frosting and sprinkles. She headed off to school for the day and the boys and I got her DQ with some balloons for her birthday lunch and took it to her school. After school she called and invited a friend to hang out and while her dad and I went to watch Preston's game We got her tacos and then took her and her friend over to the high school basketball game. The next day was Saturday, her and Shaylee had planned her birthday party for that day. There was about 11 girls there and they played just dance, and a candy bar dice game, had tons of treats, and played some other games. Over all I think the girls all had fun. Addison made a haul again with her love for Talkies. That girl has a major junk food habit. lol. We sure do love her and her willingness to always help others. She is a great babysitter and loves to babysit. She loves school, her favorite class is PE. She loves Soccer and basketball. She got new Rollerblades for her birthday and is constantly on those even though it is so cold outside right now. She loves tacos and that's probably her favorite food right now. She is a great daughter and we are blessed to have her in our home.

New calling
Dean just started up School again. He is back at Cincinnati to work on certifying in his field. He is in the mental Health field and does an amazing job in it. He also has picked up 2 side jobs as well as his full time job. He works at the jail 2 Friday's a month treating some mental health patients there. As well as a boys home in Cedar 1 Friday a month. He works so hard for our family and we really cant thank him enough. Well we had Stake conference the first Sunday in January, and we had some big changes. We got a whole new stake ( we split ours), and then 2 new stake presidencies since ours was finished. Our bishop became our new Stake President, and we were so sad to see him go, but he is the best. 2 Saturday's later we got a call from our bishop/stake president wanting to meet with us. He extended the call to Dean to be the 1st councilor in the bishopric. We were a little stunned, but know it will all work out for the best if we put our faith and trust in the lord, as well as put him first in our lives. We also got to have Preston become a priest and help bless the sacrament with the new changes in the church. He pretty much jumped a year in his position. We love our family, and Dean and know it will all work out for the best during this crazy busy time for him.

Preston, Primary Children's, and a Jazz game.
Preston had an apt with a few Dr up at Primary Children's for his concave chest. It was scheduled for the first of the year so we could get the okay to do surgery in March during spring beak. He was going to have to miss a basketball game, which worked out great to fit in a Jazz game this season. I stayed behind with a newly potty trained Landon and to take Shaylee to her basketball games. Dean and Preston left Thursday night and headed up to Grandpa and Grandma Monson's. They ended up taking Brecken with them and had some Grandma time while the boys went to the Dr's and then a Jazz game that night. Preston had a radiology apt first, then and echo, stress test, and then cardiology apt. Over all they feel he would be a good candidate for the surgery so we scheduled it and hope our insurance will cover it. After all the Dr's they headed to dinner and the Jazz vs Calv game. It was a fun game to go to and the boys had a blast watching their favorite team and players win. They headed back home Saturday early because Dean had to get home by 3 to meet with the stake president.

Landon's Potty Training adventure
With the Start of the new year we decided it was time to potty train Landon. I was really nervous for this kid. Nothing with him has been easy and I just didn't know if he was ready or not. With not much of a choice since we ran out of diapers on a Sunday morning, we started in on the 3 day potty training. The first day it was him and I all day long. Every 10-15 minutes going to the bathroom . asking him if he needs to go. We were glued to each other those 3 days. First day was rough. I think we had 5 accidents and so many successes on the potty. Day 2 was Monday so I didn't do my usual laundry so I could stay by his side all day. This day was about the same as the first day, but by the end of the day I could see a little change in him. The 3rd day he was doing pretty good. He was starting to recognize when he had to go. Though he never told me. We only had 2 accidents or maybe even one. The forth day we were in the clearing, and Landon was doing awesome. Although I still had to check with him he was holding it longer and had no accidents. On the 5th day he woke up Throwing up and had the runs bad. So for the next 3 days we dealt with throw up and poop. He was a champ over all and I could tell when he needed to go number 2 because he would hold his belly and cry. When He was done being sick we were out of the clear. We have had an accident or two throughout the next couple weeks, but he wakes up from naps, and bedtime dry and he is doing so much better then I could have ever imagined. He is a champ and I love him a ton.

Young Women's
With the Changes the church made with ages going into YW Addison got to go to young women's at the first of the year. Her Birthday was only a couple weeks away, but the young women came and decorated our door. She was so excited to move up and go with Preston and Shaylee on Tuesday nights to Young Women's. She sure is an amazing happy girl. She has already invited a non member friend to young women's, and isn't afraid to ask. What an example she is.
