Cousins, Pickle ball, Parks, and Picnics.

The first official day of Summer we headed out to do some shipping at Lisa's then headed to play pickle ball, play at a splash pad/park, and have a little picnic.  We invited a couple cousins, and had a great time.  The weather was perfect and we could have stayed out in it all day.  I didn't get any pictures of Preston Shaylee and Tanner because they were over playing pickle ball.

Addison's new haircut.

Addison asked me to braid her hair the night before the last day of school.  I had to put the boys to bed and then was going to help her.  As I finished up what I needed to do I yelled for Addison to come downstairs I was ready to cut her hair.  I heard a soft.  Okay.  As she came toward me she is crying holding a comb in her hair.  she had been playing with it folding it up and down her hair and pulling it out, next thing she knows it is stuck and she keeps pulling and it wont come out.  We tried for about an hour and then gave up and new we would have to cut it.  She was pretty sad, but in the end she has loved it.

Jag (Summer Golf)

Preston signed up for the summer jag program, and is loving it so far.  It's keeps him busy and helps him play in tournaments before the High School season starts.  He is learning, and becoming better each day.  It's been a littler slower with recovery from his surgery, but he is making progress.

Shaylee's awards Ceremony.

Shaylee received an award at their end of school assembly.  She was able to keep a 4.0 all year.  She was so excited, because she kept A's in Chinese all year.  She is awesome and tries her best at everything she does.   Addison also had a great year and received all A's and 1 A- this last quarter. She was so close to a 4.0, but she was still excited because she to got an A in Chinese, and the A- was from Chinese social studies.

Kindergarten Patriotic end of year program

Brecken's End of Year Kindergarten program

Ever since my first went to Kindergarten They have always done the same end of year program.  It's 30 minutes long, and a perfect program for kindergarteners.  The kids get to all decorate their own shirts to wear, and then they do a slide show and sing all the patriotic songs.  It's my favorite to watch.  Brecken was on the end and just couldn't contain himself during the songs.  He had to just bounce and sway a little for the songs.   I did have to run on stage before the first song, and drag him off to the bathroom, but other then that he danced and sang his little heart out.  Sure do love this kid of mine and cant believe he will be gone to all day school next year.  I'm sure going to miss him.

Preston's Awards Night.

Preston was invited to reward night for the middle school.  The kid has had a rough year of missing school and sports, but has worked extra hard and maintained his 4.0.  He puts a lot of pressure on himself, and I'm not sure that's a great thing, but he does work hard and deserved that award for a highest honor roll 4.0.  He had to miss 13 days to go to Hawaii in October.  He was on the Golf team, He was on the Basketball team, and he had a surgery in March where he missed 3 weeks of school.  Also, he got pneumonia in February and miss a week then.  So nothing came easy for him this year and I'm proud his hard work paid off.  Great Job Preston.

Mother's Day May 12th, 2019

Dean had Bishopric stuff before and after church on mother's day so we tried to do a selfie with all the kids.  I wanted a picture with all of them, and this is the best that I got.   We laughed because we just couldn't get all of us in the dang picture.  We need a selfie stick.  ha ha.  I sure do love this crew, and am so blessed to be their mother.  I was spoiled with a yogurt parfait, and a omelette, followed by some gifts.  Which in the picture of just me is the dress dean and the kids gave me as well as the shoes.  I love them and am so grateful for every single one of them.

Father's and Sons/Girls night

The boys had father's and son's on May 10th.  The weather was pretty iffy so we were hoping for the best.  The boys prepared and decided to go.  They took Landon for his first time, so we all knew that could lead to disaster.  The girls left around 3:00 to go Shopping, and get dinner come home and watch a movie paint our nails and do facials.  We went to about 4 stores, and ended up with quiet a bit of stuff for the girls.  The then decided on El Coyote for dinner, but wanted to take it home.  We came home and ate, got our facials on and started our baking show we love to watch, and I get a call from Dean.  He was very agitated and said they were coming home.  Apparently Landon had to go to the bathroom.  Dean thought it was just pee, but Landon went poop, dean didn't realize it and stepped in it and it got on Landon's pants.  So needless to say they came home and Dean set up the tent outside for some of the kids to sleep in.  We had to cut our girls night a little short, but we still had a lot of fun...even if the boys didn't.  ha ha.

Spring Club Soccer comes to an End

We made it into May.  Which means we are finishing up club soccer.  Shaylee and Addison were in 2 separate clubs.  Shaylee played for Cima, and Addison played for Heat.  Shaylee's team was in the silver division and took first so they move up to gold next season.  They were undefeated with I think one tie.  Addison's Team was in the gold, and started out strong, but slowly ended up toward the bottom and will know go down to silver.  Over all the girls had a fun season and learned a lot.  We love these girls, and enjoyed watching them play and grow this soccer season.  Now onto Summer.

Brecken Turns 6

Brecken Turned Six on May 9th.  He had so much excitement leading up to his birthday.  He has known what he wanted for his birthday for a couple months.  Basketball cards, a book to put them all in, a Jazz shirt, and Jazz basketball, and anything basketball.  His new obsession...he only wants to play it sometimes and he doesn't really like it, but he loves all things to do with it.  That sounds about right.  He woke up early, and we got to work opening presents and eating his Breakfast donut.  After that we got ready and took some friends with us to McDonald's to eat and play for a couple hours before school.  He took cosmic brownies to school with him and handed them out for his school treat.  We made a board with all his pictures but I forgot to take a picture.  When I get it back I will.  He is a very loving and thoughtful son/brother.  He loves drawing and all things art.  He wants to be an artist still.  This year we tried basketball, soccer, and baseball and he really didn't care for any of them.  He loves playing outside, I'm sure its to watch for the neighbor kids so he can play with friends.  He is reading above a grade level and is doing awesome in school. He loves poppy cookies (no bake cookies) riding his bike and sorting his basketball cards or any collection he has.  We sure do love this boy and are glad he is part of our family.
