Tubing the River

 We were pretty excited to go down the river for Memorial day.  We bought a few rafts and Lisa had a friend that had a bunch.  Preston had to work the whole weekend so we missed him for all our fun.  We got into the river by river road and decided to head down as far as bloomington walmart.  As we got in the river I noticed my tube bubbling and realized my tube had a hole.  The whole way down the river I had to keep my finger plugged on the hole; So that made for an interesting time navigating.  As for others...Shaylee got left behind a few times and we had to wait for her.  Addison, Brecken, and Tynlee got ahead of us for awhile and loved watching us struggle in places.  Landon was with Dean for the most part and didn't mind it as long as he didn't have to get in the river itself.  We sure had an adventure and many laughs.  It was so fun to try and do something new down here.  After tubing we were all spent.  We ended up at Sweet rolled for some ice-cream and shakes.

Playing at the River

Memorial weekend we didn't have much planned.  My sister Lisa suggested we go down to the River.  So Saturday we headed down to St. George and meet them by Smiths got some lunch and headed with our gear down to the river.  The weather was perfect.  No wind and not to hot.  The  kids spent hours playing in the sand and water.  While we were there we saw many pwople pass on tubes, so that gave us our plans for Monday (memorial day).  We were going tubing.  Love hanging out with cousins, and family.  

School awards.

SHaylee was so upset there wouldn't be an awards night this year because of covid.  She earned Outstanding Chinese student of the year, as well as 4.0 for the year.  Preston also got 4.0 for the year.  Addison did great and got a 4.0 the first semester and then 3.92 the other 2 semesters.   All the kids worked so hard this year with their grades.  Preston did sports all year with golf, basketball and tennis and still maintained a 4.0.  It wasn't easy, but he worked his tail off and did great. 

Boys Swimming Lessons

 I  thought I  took more pictures of Brecken at Swim lessons but I  guess I  forgot.  I put both boys in swim with heath again.  He does little sessions in private pools.  I have loved his teaching style and how well the boys have been with him.   With Covid they have made our area in the yellow warning (which mean groups of 50 or less), but no swim lessons at public pools. Landon is by far my most scared about getting his head and face wet in the water.  He still needs work, but heath helped him quiet a bit.  Brecken is doing great he is a good swimmer, just needs to work on technique better and keep using his arms.  They had fun and we have loved swimming so much already this summer.

Quail Lake with Friends

We got a couple Kayaks and a paddleboard for Christmas this year and it was finally warm enough to test them out at the lake.  We invited our friends and Neighbors the Wheelers to come with us.  They showed us some neat spots to rope swing and be away from the boats.  There were some turtles, and  Brecken and Addison tried the Rope swing. I  think Brecken couldn't reach the rope so he just jumped from the tree.  Landon didn't care to much for Kayaking He wanted to stay on the beach and play in the sand.  That is his all time favorite.  Overall it was a beautiful day at the Lake and We LOVED our new toys. 

Preston's Mock Prom

 The first part of May Preston and his group he was going to go to prom with decided to take their dates to the lake and dinner.  Since school had been cancelled so had prom. They all dressed up as best as they could since stores were still closed, and they had a blast.  Preston asked Brinley Hayes.  They did the Lake all day then came home and the boys set up for the dinner at Tyler Moons house.  I was in charge of making breadsticks. Before dinner they went and got some pictures taken. Then headed over to the Moons for dinner and to hang out.  Over all I think they had a great time and were glad to kind of be hanging out again.
