Grandma Monson came down on a Thursday to watch some of the kids in their sporting events. She followed Preston around on a few holes at his golf tournament, then came to Shaylee's Soccer game. The next morning Quin and Dani were going to run in a half marathon, but Dani didn't feel good so they asked Dean if he wanted to take her spot and run. He did good for not having trained or ran that far in years. Mom Monson was so excited to get to see her two boys run together. It was a beautiful morning with cloud cover and a little drip of rain every once in awhile. Dean said that helped him the most.

Shaylee's 15th Birthday
Shaylee's Birthday landed on a Monday this year...Monday was early morning soccer practice. I dropped her off to practice at 6 am and then headed to pick up donuts for the whole soccer team. Dean the little boys and I headed back over at 7:30 to pick her up sing happy birthday and hand out donuts to everyone. We then run home to have Shaylee get ready for school. She only has like 20 minutes to get ready when she gets home before school starts so we wait to open presents tell that evening. Shaylee also requested DQ for lunch so Landon and I dropped that off with a balloon for her at the middle school. Her friends spoiled her with all the treats balloons and goodies. When she got home we hung out for a little bit and then headed down to St. George to meet dad for dinner. Shaylee chose Zupas she has been wanting to go there forever. Afterward we went shopping just what she loves to do. We came home to finally open presents that she waited all day to open. We sure do love our Shaylee. She is a list maker, organizer, fun loving, hard worker, soccer and basketball playing, amazing girl.

Family Boat Night
We went boating with most of the family. The Friday after school started. We are missing Preston and Shaylee in our family because of golf and Soccer practice. We had fun and everyone surfed that wanted too. Landon got sick as well as me, but other then that fun time by all. Plus with the fires all around our state we had a pretty amazing sunset with the sun being so orange.

Golf
Preston has had a couple tournament so far this season. One was up north and he did great. He got a 78 I do believe. Then for their first season opener they were in Cedar city. Preston made the cut for our local paper. Him and his friend Mike got the top 2 spots for our team. Preston got a 77. He has been working hard all summer and with a coach and it seems to be helping him a ton. The paper also took these photos. Preston is in the white shirt.

BACK TO SCHOOL 2020
After 6 months at home...we FINALLY got to head back to school..even if it is with a mask. The kids were more then willing to wear a mask if it meant not having to do homeschool. Preston made the golf team and is in 11 grade Junior. Shaylee is in 9th grade Freshman and made the J.V. High School soccer team. She has loved it so much even if the practices have been at 6:00 am in the morning. Addison left the intermediate school and is in 8th grade Middle school with Shaylee. She loves it and has been taking private tennis lessons. Brecken is in 2nd grade with Copeland and his teacher for English and Christensen as his Chinese teacher. He is in a class with no one he knows so we are hoping he can see his friends in the morning when they ride bikes together, and then at recess. We are hoping he can also make new friends in his class. Landon is 3 years old and so ready to go to preschool. He is going to happy day preschool with Ms. Heather, and Ms. Grandma. He got a kick out of the older lady saying just call me grandma. He wishes he went more the 2 days, but he has next year to go everyday. We are hoping everything stays okay and we can stay in school and covid will stay going down. So here is to praying we get some sort of normal for these kids.

HHS Tigers Soccer
Shaylee had a few Soccer games before school started. Their team did well and won both of their games. We are a couple weeks into region, and we've won 1 and tied 2 and lost 1. It's been fun watching these girls playing together in High School.
Tahiti Village
Our Spring Break trip we were supposed to be in March, but with the pandemic it got moved back month after month. Finally before school started we were able to go down and use the pools and play with some of the family. Shaylee and Preston both had High school sports they couldn't miss. We went for 2 days. Addison brought a friend along to keep her company and Brecken and Landon came with us. We had to wear masks around the resort and pool area, but not in the pool itself. We loved the lazy river and played in that and the sand area most of the time. We ate dinner at the cheesecake factory, did a little shopping, and watched a movie. The next day we decided to hit up school shopping. We found some really good deals, and shopped tell about 2:00 then we took the boys down to swim and the lazy river again. Dean headed back to do more shopping while I stayed and swam with the boys some more. We had a blast. We then got dinner and played around the resort tell bedtime. We left early Wednesday morning to head home so we could watch Shaylee's first soccer game.
