Preston asked one of our neighbors to homecoming this year. They asked us mom's or maybe it was the mom's that decided we would do their dinner for them. Preston's friend Colton has beautiful property and tons of space to take pictures, and have a fun dinner by one of their ponds. Preston went with his friends Colton, Kevin, and Payton. Preston's date was Katlynn and he was a good foot or more taller them her...even with her heels. She was a great date though and so sweet. I was put in-charge of table decor for the dinner and I think it turned out so simple and elegant. Shaylee and Halle served the food and I think everyone had a great night. The homecoming dance was up at Sky Mountain Golf course and it seemed like everyone had a great time. So glad Covid didn't put a damper on their homecoming this year.

Homecoming Parade.
Preston is a Junior this year, and Dean had work off so we took Landon to watch the Homecoming parade. They go past Three Falls elementary so all the classes come out and watch the parade. We went on the hunt to look for Brecken and were able to see Brecken as well. Landon got tons of candy and enjoyed the short parade. It was a beautiful day outside for a parade.

Fall happenings.
Since school started you can find us at all the sporting events. Addison has been taking Tennis lessons, and just started basketball open gym. Shaylee is on the high school soccer team, and we were lucky to get great weather this year. There was only 1 day where the wind and cold did us in. Preston has had a great golf season so far, and I even got to go watch him. Landon and Brecken started fall rec soccer. I haven't got any pictures of Brecken yet because I coach his team and am busy coaching. I need to have Dean take some for me. Landon is doing great and loves to play soccer. He and Brecken both got their first goals last week. We were all so excited for them. Brecken has come a long way and is enjoying his time on the field this year. I also have Preston signed up for fall swim team. His cousin Kai comes over twice a week to do swim team and they both leave exhausted. Its a lot of hard work and none stop swimming, but they are doing awesome.

A little DIY
I sweet talked my sister into helping me redo my office. We were originally just doing one wall of shiplap, but after looking at the wall next to it we decided to do two. Over all the process was fairly easy, It was just little things and tools that we didn't have that made for a longer DIY. Stephanie pretty much did the whole room and I was there to help hold or whatever she needed. Also, don't let this picture fool you Preston did not help at all unless we couldn't reach the tallest piece in which case he would get called in. I was able to make the desk using some butcher block and filing cabinet and screwing the filing cabinet into the butcher block. The sign on the wall my sister Stephanie made. I found a quote I liked she designed it, I had it printed off at Steam Roller and then she framed it in for me. Over all I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Sure do love my sisters.

Apple Pickin Fun
A man in our ward has an apple orchard up by New Harmony. He sent out a email letting members of the ward know they could come up and pick his apples for free. He would have a Juice press there as well and if you want you can have your apples pressed. We asked a few members of my family if they would like to head up and get some apples. We had a blast eating and picking apples. It was a beautiful morning and we enjoyed each others company. We picked quite a bit for juice, drying, eating, and baking with. They were so fresh and the juice was amazing. When we got home we went to work drying them, we made some apple pie filling, and cameral apples. We had plenty left over for eating as well. It sure was fun to try something new.
