Lantern Festival

The Lantern Festival was at sand hollow this year.  We didn't get tickets, but Aunt Lisa did, and she wasn't able to use them.  So last minute Addison and a friend went with their Date Night Package.  The line to get in was crazy long with all the cars and it took them forever to get in, but once they did they found a spot and had a blast.  We all thought it was a floating lantern festival but apparently since we are in a drought they changed it to a floating lantern festival so the girls were kinda bummed about that.  Otherwise they said it was fun.

Best Buds

Man this little guy right here loves his dad.  If he had a choice to play with friends or his dad he would choose his dad everyday.  I  know it will be a sad day when that does change.  Landon sticks like glue to Dean on his days off and has everything planned out for them.  Dean is so nice abdn goes along with most of it, but does remind him he has other kids and a wife he has to be with as well.  lol.  They went golfing last week when all the other kids were at the football game and Brecken was at a friends.  Landon loves golfing with Dad.

Falcon Run

I  received  a letter from Breckens teachers saying he had been nominated for something at school.  this is what the email read.

Hello!
Congratulations! Your child has been nominated for one of our positive awards this month. Being Kind, Obeying, Respectful, Working hard. To celebrate, your child gets to participate in our monthly celebration run called the ‘Falcon Flight’. This Friday, beginning at 10:00 a.m., all nominated students will get to run around the school, being cheered on and congratulated by other students and staff members. You as parents and families are invited to attend! Students will be lined up along the school, and parents may line up across from the students. Just make sure and leave room for our Falcon Flight students! Please be here at least 5 minutes ahead of time. We will start on time! You don’t want to miss this event!”

Thanks,
Mrs. Henrie and Ms. Li
We sure love brecken and he definitely deserved this award.  So proud of him.

Sky Mountain Tournament

Preston's last tournament of the season was their home course at Sky Mountain.  We were lucky enough to be able to watch him through the front 9 holes.  Landon was excited to watch him again, and the weather wasn't to hot.  He had a great first 7 holes, but 8 got to him.  He ended up paring 9 though.  So we had to leave him again to go watch Shaylee in soccer but he said he played a great round, except for like one fall apart hole.  He felt good about his swing and putting.  He goes up to state Oct 6-7, it will be held at Burch Creek in Logan.  Dean is going up with him while I  stay back and watch Shaylee in her last Soccer games of the season before state.

BYU vs. Arizona

We had Soccer games Saturday morning at 10:30.  Dean was coaching Landon and I was coaching Brecken.  The weather turned bad fast and both our games got cancelled because of lightning.  We all went home and Preston texted us from work asking if he could go up to the BYU game that night with some buddies and one of the kids dads.  We found out they had room in the car and Dean decided to offer his moms house for a place to stay and went up with them.  Dean was a little worried how the game would go...we were projected to lose. but they ended up winning, and they had a great time.  They sat next to some fun people who made it extra fun.  It was a white out game so hence everyone in the pictures wearing white.

Starting Varsity

Shaylee has had a great season of Soccer.  She has really stepped up her aggression and it's been fun to watch.  There team has had a lot of health issues and injuries, and Shaylee has been playing great.  So for a Cedar game she got to start Varsity.  I  was so excited for her.  She had a great JV game and scored, and while she was warming up for Varsity one of the coaches came over and said they were going to start her that night.  They didn't tell the girls who was starting tell it was time to line up.  She was pretty stoked and played a great game.

Preston Sand Hollow Golf Tournament

Preston had a golf tournament closer to home so Landon and I  took advantage of it and went out to watch him play.  It was a hot one for September so we paid for a cart and I  also new Landon wouldn't' last that long walking.  We found him on hole number 9.  He had started on 6 so we followed him through to hole 9 again.  so we watched him for 10 holes and had to leave for his last 6, to make it to Shaylees soccer game.  He ended up shooting around 78? I do believe. Landon was in heaven watching him golf and wishes he could get out and swing and play too.  He walked a few holes with Preston and it was so cute.  I  sure do love watching him play, but I  think I  get more nervous than he does. lol.
