We left Friday evening after tennis and golf practice. We ran into traffic right outside of mesquite for about 2 hours. It's the worst traffic I've been in. Once we grabbed dinner in Vegas and were on our way the drive was way better. We rolled into California around 12:00 am. We went straight to bed we were all exhausted. The next morning Saturday we were meeting up with some of our neighbors we were on this trip with to eat breakfast and go to the beach. The Larsen's and Wheelers joined us on this trip and we were so excited to have them all there. The Larsens stayed in a condo by the beach so we ate breakfast there and Bishop Larsen went all out with the meal. After brunch we headed to the beach. The weather was perfect and we stayed at the beach all day long. Right off the bat Addison and Trey head to the water, and a lifeguard has to call them in because of the rip current going on around us. Landon of course had to have Dean or I play with him at all times so it wasn't as relaxing as I was hoping...but it was as fun as I was hoping. We playing spike ball, volleyball, paddle ball, built sandcastles, and boogie boarded in the ocean. We all applied sunscreen but all of us still got burnt because it didn't feel hot so we didn't re apply very often. We packed up around 5:00 to head out to dinner at one of the Wheelers favorite spots. It was delicious, we were all starving since we had not eaten since breakfast. We got done with dinner and took some pictures next to a fun wall were we ate, after pictures the kids all wanted to get in the hot tub at the hotel. We all showered off all the sand and headed to bed tired from a fun/sun filled day.
