Daydream and Dandilions Talant assembly

Brecken and Landon both entered into their schools talent assembly this year.  Brecken did Art as well as Landon.  I  received a call saying Brecken had won an award and to be to his assembly at 9:15. 3-5 was at that time.  Grandpa came with me and we cheered on Brecken as he got a 1st place medal.  He was excited since it was his first time getting 1st place.  Well we left and didn't stay for the k-2 assembly because they told me Landon didn't win anything.  AFter school he came running in telling me he had won an award and asked why I  didn't come and watch.  I  was so disappointed I  had missed it and didn't know about it.  He won 2nd place in drawing.  He was so excited and then proceeded to tell me he lost the medal part of this award somewhere while he was playing at recess.  Both boys did a great job and I'm so proud of them.

Landon : Entered a drawing of a landscape of land mountains and then space. 

 

February 20-26th

Talked to Preston this week and they had another great week of baptisms.  They had 2 of their own, and then they had the sisters in their area with a baptism they helped with as well.  Preston is doing better and is actually walking around a lot more.  They love the area and branch and cant seem to find enough hours in the day to cover everyone they need to see.  Which is a good problem to have.  The girls were home from school while I  was talking so they talked to Preston about school and starting college when he gets back.  He is really worried about coming home, college, jobs, money all the things you start to worry about when you get home off a mission.  Shaylee and him are going to go to BYU together so hopefully they get to help each other out and talk to each other.  

 

Starting of Soccer Season

 Landon started up spring soccer.  I'm his coach.  We have a very rough team....lol.  Lots of little boys who don't like the sport or want to touch the ball.  So it should be a interesting season.  I  have 10 boys and 2 will play and know how to play.  another is pretty good but struggles with adhd and I lose him off and on through the game.  I  have another who is autistic and doesn't care about soccer one way or the other and another boy who isn't good who also struggles with adhd.  Then the rest of them just don't care about soccer or touching the ball so it's been fun.  Needless to say we won our first game. (we really shouldn't have they were the better team) Landon had two awesome goals and the other team just couldn't find the back of the net for their goals. Also, since i'm coaching Dean is the picture taker and he forgets to take them so we probably won't get tons. lol.

Preference for the Girls

Preference was in February this year. The girls asked some cute dates.  Shaylee's date didn't go to our school. He came up from Vegas to go with her.  Addison's date had lacrosse all day so they didn't get to meet up till dinner and the dance.  Both girls went with a black dress and looks so beautiful.  Shaylee's day date was paintballing and then they came to our house to eat lunch and hang out.  Addison hung out with us during the day while her group did their day date.  The weather for February was actually really mild and the girls both had a good time at the dance.
