Fall Festival

 We had the annual school Fall Festival Funderasier on the last Monday in September.  The boys were so excited and couldn't wait to go.  Brecken just new he was going to win a basket this year.  He put some tickets in but since this was Landon's school and Brecken had graduated I  gave most of the tickets to Landon.  The boys ran around with friends and played all the games.  They won some big liters of pop, key chains and cotton candy.  They had a blast playing 9 square with all their friends and we got dinner at Jimmy Johns and talked Addison into coming over and having a picnic with us while we waited for the basket drawings to start.  I  was cleaning up our blankets and things while Dean took the boys over to listen to the basket drawings as I  was walking to the car I  heard Landons name called.  I  was heading back over when I  heard Landons name called again.  Brecken came over to me with tears in his eyes saying he wasn't crying he just had something in his eyes. lol.  Landon ended up winning 2 baskets they weren't the best ones they were the ones with the least amount of tickets, but he was excited.  We won some gift certificates, legos, books, notebooks, flashlights, and squishamells, and more trinkets.  He was pretty stoked. 

Region Tennis

Addison had region this last week and did pretty good.  They ended up placing 5th.  Which is probably the best we have placed at region so we will take it and we all qualified for state.  We were really excited for them.  They played hard and won some teams we needed too.  Over all this has been a great season for Addison and her doubles partner.  We practice this whole next week and get ready for state than leave the  following week to head up and play at state.

 

Parents and Pastries with Landon

Last kid in the Elementary school.  This week was SEPS, book fair, and parents and pastries at Three Falls. Landon was so excited for the book fair.  We found a couple books he is excited about and I  bought them to give to him for his birthday.  Landon did great on his SEP meeting.  He is meeting and exceeded all of the reading and math goals and has some goals in place to get even better.  He is a little talker and social butterfly but they said he is doing better about not talking while the teacher is talking. lol.  We ended the week with some donuts and visiting with Landon at his school for breakfast.  This kid is confident and funny.  We sure do love our little caboose.

 

Brecken 0 scooter and cement 1

I  was doing some laundry and my phone was ringing it was a number I didn't know so I  didn't answer it.  They called right back and left a message.  I  listened to the message to realize Brecken had got hurt on his ride home from school and a mom had stopped to help and called me.  I  hurried out of the house because she mentioned a broken nose and his face isn't looking to good.  When I  pulled up someone else had stopped and had water and they cleaned him up only to realize he didn't even hurt his nose. lol.  All the blood was coming from his mouth.  Upon further inspection we realized he had bit through his cheek and his mouth was pretty beat up.  he needed stitches.  We headed up to insta care.  They took us back asap and then looked at him and said with a head injury they want him to go to the ER.  So the new hurricane hospital is right next to the instacare so they loaded him in a wheelchair and wheeled us over.  We got right in but I did not care for our dr at all.  He was always in a hurry didn't do anything the instacare people asked him to do.  We went to the ER because they wanted scans done on his head and face to make sure his jaw cheek weren't fractured as well as a concussion.  He didn't even bring that up he looked at a few scratches and said he looked fine.  I  said well what about his mouth he hadn't even looked in there.  He looked in and said we can just let that heal up on its own. I  could put in some stitches but lets make it easy and just let the mouth heal.  I  said okay well what about the outside of his mouth and he goes oh well it looks fine.  I  said well when it was cleaned up there was a hole all the way through.  He then said well I  can't see anything so i'll have a nurse come and clean it but it should be fine.  So the nurse came back in a cleaned it only to realize that yes in fact he had a big hole in his lip/cheek.  The dr came back in and was like well I  guess we have to do stitches I  really didn't want to, but we have to and I  might as well do the inside since it's even worse than the outside.  What??? he seemed so annoyed and then telling me the inside is bad but he didn't want to do anything because he was lazy but since he has to do the outside he might as well do it all.  So as he was finishing up I  said well the whole reason they brought us over here was for scans on his jaw cheek and head.  He grabs Breckens head and goes does anything hurt no okay you guys can go.  I  was so infuriated I  left with a bad taste in my mouth for that dr. and when I  got a survey to take on him I  took it and told them my thoughts.  Brecken was a champ though and got his indie and outside of his mouth stitched up.  4 on the outside 7 on the inside.  It is swollen and he cant talk chew or swallow so we will be going to get some liquids and popsicles.  

 

Preston's 1st friends wedding.

Preston's friend Kevin got married this weekend and had a fun time seeing all his buddies for the weekend.  They all like tymber and he was excited to be apart of the wedding and support his friend.
