Memorial Weekend

We kicked off summer/memorial day weekend with hiking the stairs with those that didn't have to work.  I  sure do love/hate them.  It feels so good when your done, but those last 150 stairs kill you everytime.  I  did 4 up and downs this time.  It doesn't get easier.  After the stairs we swam at grandmas and then went to buy flowers for Aunt Amy's grave.  We spent some time at the cemetery looking for loved ones grave markers.  After we grabbed some dinner and played some games as a family.  We also hit up some swimming at aunt Lisa's that week as well as did some puzzles, games, Golfing and just spent time together as a family.  It was so nice to finally relax after a busy May.  Now to soak up having all my kids under one roof for a month before we say goodbye to Shaylee for 18 months.

Shaylee Red Cliffs Temple

If Graduation week wasn't busy enough we through in Shaylee taking out her endowments for her mission. She went through our temple which is the red cliffs temple in washington. It was really a special day.  Dean of course went through with Preston at the beginning before the session so I  was super excited to go do that with Shaylee.  We had to be there an hour before everyone else.  We got to hear a special presentation from our temple president matron, and then shaylee got to do her initiatory for herself.  After we did the initiatory we then meet up with everyone in the endowment room.  We had so many loved ones there to support Shaylee.  Addison brecken and a few cousins did baptisms while we went through.  They met us outside after our session.  Grandma Monson made it down as well as Syd and joe, we had Quin and Dani but they left to grab their kids for dinner.  We had Marie Eric, cousin paige, Grandma and Grandpa Eves, Maddie slack, Ana.Weston and Chad larsen and then our little family. WE missed a lot of family as well who would have loved to have been here bit it was memorial day weekend so it was hit and miss on who was in town.  We are so thankful for families and the love and support Shaylee felt that day.  She is such a ray of light in our family and we are blessed to have her as a daughter.   I  can't believe she leaves for Canada in a month.  She will be amazing.
