*Tennis and Tumbling*

We signed the kids up for a couple of classes that Hurricane recreation was doing. We signed Preston up for Tennis a 7 class course, and the girls are doing tumbling a 8 week course. They all seem to love it. Preston had to deal with some hot weather, but all in all I think he learned the basics and enjoyed it.

Of course who wouldn't love being able to jump around and jump on a mini trampoline?

Practicing the balance beam. The girls love to practice this at grandma's house on her curbing.

Future Cheerleader?

Addison loves to sing and dance...and does it all the time. Like last night we watched Karate Kid as a family, well except Addy who walked around and played and bugged everyone...up until the end credits where music came on. She was right in front of that t.v. for a good 5 mins dancing to the music. So anyway, when I saw a flyer for a mini Cheerleading camp I new Addison was in. I asked Shaylee as well, but she didn't want to. So Addison went to 3 days of two hour practices then on Thursday night they preformed at half time at the HHS Tigers football game. It was so much fun to watch her and see her little personality come out. She was in HEAVEN. After the dance they could stay and cheer with the cheerleaders for the 3 quarter...well it was getting late so I thought we would just head home, but NO Addison would not leave the cheerleaders side...she wanted to cheer the rest of the game. I did however take her home a little early she didn't take a nap that day and by 9 she was out on the track barely moving and keeping her eyes open.
Warming up with her group.
Yes Addy is the one with her little crack showing. (Never fails) and yes I did go up and fix it.

Practicing their routine.
Out on the field preforming..I loved when she would move her hips...so cute. Caught it on the video camera.

After their performance. Cheering with the cheerleaders on the sidelines.
Future Cheerleader? Maybe...Whatever she wants to be.

26.2 St. George Marathon..

St. George Marathon {10-02-10}

If any of you are familiar with P90X you know the phrase I'm about to use to sum up the Marathon. "You hate it....but you Love it." Although at mile 18 or sooner who am I kidding their was no love, just a hate relationship. As soon as I crossed that finish line...I loved it. Dean and I did it together. I couldn't have done it without my wonderful husband to give me words of encouragement. So great to put up with me for 26.2 miles that day. Thank you honey. I would like to say it was great, but it was one of the hardest things I've done physically as well as Mentally. I had to set little goals for myself throughout the race and not look to far ahead or I would get down. My first goal was Mile marker 15...why 15 you might say? Well it's past the 1/2 way point and it's where my wonderful brother in law would be waiting to rub me down with bengay, and just to see someone you know (He was helping out at the aid station at mile marker 15)...He doesn't realize what a vital part he played for me mentally, but I thank him anyway. It was so much fun to finally see people and see family around mile 24. I was spent and Dean would have to shake me out of my zone to let me know family was coming up. I was so excited to see everyone that came to support us, I tried jumping up and down and cheering, but from the looks of the pictures, I was failing at that attempt (side note..body will not do what you want it to after 26.2 miles). The last 3 miles were really hard because your so close yet it's the longest 3 miles of your life. Crossing the finish line with my Husband was amazing. I know were a little cheesy but we held hand the last little bit so that we could cross the finish line together.
I was hoping for 4 hr 30 mins. and we got 4 hrs 27 mins...we were trying to finish sooner then that a month ago, but I had a knee injury so it went to just finish...to try our hardest to finish under 5 to we will try for 4 30 and not be disappointed if we didn't get it. So I was happy...I know Dean could have done a lot better, heck he said he had a few more miles in him:( Not me) but he stayed with me and helped me..and I love him all the more for it.On a side note we also had family visiting all weekend, but between buying a house and renovating it, and the marathon, plus conference we didn't get to see everyone we were hoping to see, but we love everyone who came and supported us. We also loved the posters.. thanks for taking the time to make them for us. The one should have made the paper, my dad got more comments on that poster then I think anyone did.
