Our Garden
After the Soccer games on Saturday, we decided we better get our garden in. We started a little late this year, but we should be just fine. We loved our garden last year, and cant wait to try a few new things this year, and hopefully next year. The kids get so involved and I love it. This year the girls really, really wanted Strawberries, and Watermelon. We knew that Strawberries didn't do so well down here in the heat, so we talked them into watermelon, boy were they excited to plant that one. We got 18 tomato plants, we might go get 6 more to finish off the last planter box. 3 Squash and Zucchini. 2 pepper plants, 1 Red, 1 Green, 1 Jalapeno, Green onions, Cilantro, 6 cucumber plants, and last but not least 2 watermelon plants. We hope the garden does well this year. We've been praying everyday for it to grow....especially those darn watermelons. ha ha. Thursday, April 26, 2012

Hip Hip Horray!!
Girls Soccer
We finished the girls soccer season last Saturday. They both had a great time, and loved being able to play together. I loved it, because I didn't have to go to two different sets of games. It was a beautiful day to play soccer. It got up into the high 90's so it was a good thing our game was early at 8 in the morning. Shaylee had about 6 goals, and Addison scored a goal this game as well. Yea!!! They loved their coach, and team. What a fun Year of Soccer.

Oh the EGG-citment of Easter
We had a great Easter Weekend. My sister Stephanie came down, and she brought a couple little friends (my nephews Jaden, and Tanner) they were on their spring break for the coming week. We started the fun out by going down to the mall Friday to look for a swimsuit for my mom. Grandpa decided to take all the kids to a park while my sisters and I helped my mom. We ended up laughing more then anything, and I think a few patrons walked out of the dressing room, after not wanting to hear my family. But, we did succeed and found not 1 but 2 swimsuits. Yea. Then we went and found the kid's rock climbing with grandpa, I did make it to the top, but did not like having to come back down. We got home called a babysitter, and headed to the "Hunger Games". I really enjoyed it, and thought they did a really tasteful job with what they had to work with. The next day we were up bright and early for the start of the city Easter Egg hunt. One word crazy!!!

Wonderful life!!
Happy Anniversary!!
9 years!!
I forgot to do a little post for my anniversary (which is about a month late). We had a pretty laid back anniversary this year. Some personal things kept us close to home. My mom and dad did however watch the kids for most of the day. We decided to go golf. Well Dean did. I wasn't quiet up for it, but I enjoyed riding, walking, and just being with my best friend. We then hit up dinner @outback I love there chicken on the barbie, and roasted veggies. YUMMY!! We did a little shopping, then headed back to the house with a red box. Dean had to work the next morning so we didn't want to stay up to late. I love him and am so proud of all he does for us. I love being with someone who is always happy, and always makes me want to do better, and try harder. He is a wonderful example to the kids, and I. We are planning a big 10 year anniversary. Dean will almost be done with school. Yea!! So we will celebrate then. I love you honey.

He will probably not like that I snapped a few shots of him while he was playing, but I couldn't resist.

What we live and breath around here!!
Sports (Soccer) this go around
Soccer has been going on for us since the end of February. Dean is coaching Preston's Competition soccer team this year. We have had mixed feeling with the city league/ competitive soccer and weren't real happy with the way the city league was turning out. So this year they made a competitive U8 team. First time they've let U8 play in competitive. It's been a learning experience that is for sure. I think we will stick it out though and follow up to U9 this fall with Preston. It's so nice to have Dean coaching him. I feel like they are learning so much more then he would in just City league. Also the reason I haven't posted sooner is because I didn't want it to be a soccer over load when the girls started a few weeks later. So I officially have enough pictures to post and share.

The girls love there coach. (it was Preston's basketball coach.) He does so well with the little kids, and has such patients. Shaylee is still my little (Go Getter), she does awesome at soccer, and loves to score, and beat all the boys. Addison has her own little competitive side. She is one of the smaller ones so next year she should do just fine. She is right in that big massive circle with the rest of them. She goes after that ball and does a great job. I love watching this age it is so funny...I mean fun. We have so much fun on Saturday's, the girls games get us up by 7:15 so we can be to the field by 7:45. Then it's on to Preston's games somewhere between 9-2. The kids love it and it is always a busy/fun time of year.

P.S. Baseball just started as well so poor Preston goes from one practice to the next, games, scouts, and Piano. He is one busy kids, but doesn't' mind and excels at everything he does (I know it's just a proud mom moment), but I love them all, and am so BLESSED to have these 3 little ones in my life.
