Women's Conference!!

We were so excited that Addison got to join us this time for the General Women's Conference.  It is so fun for me to spend some good quality time with my girls listening to the leaders of our church testimonies, and talks.  We were able to talk Aunt Lisa, Aunt Marci, and my Mom into coming with us.  We then went to DQ afterwards and had to of course get an ice-cream.  I hope my girls are gaining a testimony of this gospel, and I know it's still hard to sit that long for them, but they both did well.  I love this church and am so happy I got to spend some time with girls in the family.

St. Patricks Day

St. Patricks day was pretty busy so we fit in what "green" fun we could.  We started the morning off with Green smoothies, spinach (Green) eggs, and toast.  We then dressed in our green clothes, and a fun green necklace, that aunt Heidi, and her kids made for us.  I was in such a hurry I didn't get a picture, but the kids loved them and were sure excited to wear them.  They had a little bottle on the necklace and in the bottle it was full of green nerds.  Simple, but cute.  After the kids went off to school Brecken and I headed to story time, and read some fun St. Patrick day books, and learned about leprechauns.  We then made a shamrock necklace with a piece of gold on it that we found from the leprechaun.  Of course, Brecken found out there was chocolate in it and then it was all down hill from there, that poor necklace didn't stand a chance.  Preston was gone all day that day from piano to basketball to scouts, so I didn't get a picture of him in his clothes and dinner, but I got the girls.   For dinner we had pesto chicken so it looked green.  Spinach which everyone of my kids like, except for Preston, Grilled red potatoes, and a Green salad.  It was fun to celebrate this holiday with the kids even if it was some simple things.

Spring Break 2015

We started out Spring Break with Cousins sleeping over Sunday night.  Movie watching, popcorn eating, and games started it all off.  Monday we went to The mall and Book stores  the kids all bought new books, then we headed to Jimmy John's with Uncle Matt, Aunt Marci, and Kendyll.  Then headed down to the sweet tooth fairy for some after lunch goodies.  We ended it off with a Soccer game, and playing out in the yard.  Tuesday we went to the park all morning, then headed out to the Washington Rec Center in the afternoon to swim.  Wednesday we headed out early to do some hiking with family, and a picnic in the park.  The weather was pretty good if it wasn't for so clouds here and there.  Thursday wasn't that fun, but we had to clean, and do laundry to get ready to leave up north.  We broke up the cleaning with a trip to the store to get some donuts.  Then we left to go up north Friday.  We dropped the kids off with Aunt Stephie for the night, and Dean and I headed out for a little getaway for our anniversary.  We stayed in Downtown SLC.  We went out to the Cheesecake factory for Dinner, and then walked around downtown SLC in the evening.  The kids stayed busy with making homemade Pizza's games, Park, and a Dance Party.  The next day they went Mini golfing, and got Chick-fa-la.  Dean and I went shopping at City Creek, and met up with the kids and aunt Stephanie around 2.

We then headed to the Noodle Co. Then onto the Jazz game.  It was a lot of fun, and we were really excited to have Stephanie and Angel join us.  We then spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa Monson, who always spoil us.  Grandma had nachos waiting for us when we got home around 9:30 from the game.  The next morning she made us a yummy breakfast, and then it was back home we went.  It was a real quick trip, but we had some much fun, and enjoyed every minute of it.

Three Falls Talent Contest.

Preston, Shaylee, and Addison all entered the Daydreams, and Dandelions talent contest at their school. Addison Drew a picture and did a great job.  She called it "sweet dreams".  She colored Ice-cream cones, treats, and other goodies.  Shaylee colored a picture of landscape, and did a short story, called "The Valentines Monster".  Then Preston did a short story called "Soccer Stars".  Shaylee won 2nd place for her short story, and Preston won 2nd place as well for his short story.  Preston, and Shaylee both played a piano piece as well.  I'm just proud of them for trying and doing their best.

Addison's Baptism Day!!!

Addison was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on February, 28th, 2015.  It was such a wonderful day filled with so many wonderful people, here to support her in her decision.  Her baptism was at 11:00, so we had the morning to get everything ready.  She was so excited she couldn't even sit still all morning.  She kept asking if it was time to go.  She was so excited to get in her white jumpsuit, and couldn't wait for everyone to get there.  We had both grandpa's give a talk.  Grandpa Monson on baptism, and Grandpa Eves on the Holy Ghost.  They both did such a great job, and made Addison feel so special on her day.  She also was really excited to finally wear her baptism dress again.  She got to wear it for a little bit when aunt Marci took her picture, but had to wait almost a month to wear it again.  She looked so beautiful, and couldn't stop smiling all day.  She adds such a sweet spirit to our home, and a contagious smile.  We sure to love her, and so proud of her decision she made to be baptized.  We had a lunch after the baptism, and got to have a bunch of family over to celebrate.  It was raining the day before, and most of the day on Addison's baptism, so we had to keep everyone inside, but later it cleared out and the kids ran outside the rest of the day.  We had Grandma, and Grandpa Monson,  Uncle Joe, Sydney, and there wonderful family.  Uncle Eric, Marie, and their cute girls.   Uncle Quin, Dani, and Kai.  Then we had Grandpa, and Grandma Eves, aunt Stephanie, aunt Amy, and Uncle Matt Marci, and their cute family.  Plus a few people from the ward, and some of Addison's friends.  Lauren, and Hallee.  So a lot of love.  I think Addison will always remember such a special day.  Dean was able to Baptize and Confirm Addison.  The witnesses of course were the Grandpa's.
