Christmas Eve Eve!

We had to do our annual Christmas Eve Tradition a day early since Christmas Eve is on a Sunday. Dean's side of the family that lives down here and then Eves family that lives down here get together each year and go to kneaders for breakfast, and then we head over to Fiesta Fun for some bowling.  Every where was packing them in, but we were lucky enough to get in at both places before the crowd came.  Dean and Preston had to help a family move this morning and they meet up with us at the bowling ally.  Landon just wanted to go grab all the balls and bowl.  I ended up taking him and lake's over to the games, and letting them ride a few rides.  Over all it was a great morning spent with great people.  Christmas came so fast this year.

First Ever Christmas Light Fun Van

I might have had a brilliant idea to borrow a 15 passenger van from so friends in my dads ward.  He asked them for me and they said we could use it on a Thursday.  We loaded up all 19 of us in the party van and headed out singing Christmas songs.  All was jolly and good.  The second house we saw had won the Christmas light fight on t.v. so that was a fun one, we saw a couple others on our way to another winner of Christmas light fights too.  When we reached the second house it was a must to get out and walk around and see the displays.  While we tried to get a family picture we realized Grandma and Grandpa hadn't made it over to check out the house.  We were all getting ready to go and mom comes walking over saying...Dad locked the keys in the van.  I had remembered that I had left a window cracked on my side to keep the windows from fogging up.  So we went on a mission trying to fit our arms through the window and trying to reach the lock.  Triple A was 45 minutes out, so most everyone headed over to get a hot chocolate and hang out at maverick next door.  My arm fit the best in the window so I kept trying while Matt and Dean pulled on the window.  My arm just wasn't long enough, and so Stephanie tried.  Anyway long story short...we ended up Shattering the van window while Stephanie's arm was in and Dean and Matt were pulling on it.  Glass was everywhere.  We all were so nervous about telling mom and hoping to be able to fix it before we returned it to the owners.  We all swept all the glass onto the ground and took of to go pick up everyone at Maverick.  They all got in not realizing we had busted the window, until mom noticed.  Needless to say the ride home was chilly, and that night mom and Stephanie cleaned the van extra good, and dad ended up having to go to Vegas to pick up a window that would work.  He also replaced the front window where a huge crack was (not by us of course). We had it back to them better then new by 12 the next day.  Wow!! it was a night where memories were made that's for sure.

Tuacahn Live Nativity.

The Wednesday school got out we decided to go see the live Nativity with some of my family.  The night was really pleasant, and there wasn't a line for Santa so we got right up to meet him.  Of course after Landon's earlier encounter with Santa he wanted nothing to do with the jolly old guy.  Brecken loved the music and sang along, Landon went "Wow" all night as well as bark at any animals that came on the stage.  It was so fun to watch and one of my most favorite traditions we do as a family.  As soon as we got up from our seat and walked out a big wind storm and sprinkles hit.  We were so lucky it came after we were all done.

Christmas Story time at the Library

I took Brecken and Landon to The Christmas Story time at our library.  Santa made an appearance and read the kids a story, and talked with all the kids about what they wanted.  He did a teddy bear dance with the kids, and Brecken was so excited to do everything, and see Santa....Landon....not so much.  He wanted nothing to do with the big guy, and I'm not at all surprised.
