Landon 9 Month

Landon 9 months old
Landon had a busy month of new things.  He had 3 teeth break through this last month.  He learned to crawl on his hands and knees.  He can go from laying down to sitting on his own.  He try's to stand along the coaches and pull himself up.  He saw fireworks for the first time, and liked them.  He went on vacation to visit family and did great during the day and was horrible at night.  He has another big top tooth coming...but hasnt broke through yet.  He was 16lbs 3 oz and 28 inch long at his 9 month appointment.  He is 3 % in weight, and 30% in height.  He was really good for his appointment.  Due to learning to crawl and teething he hasn't been the best sleeper at night, but he doesn't cry long and goes right back to bed so I cant complain.  He is such a mover and doesn't hold still even if you are holding him, he tries to climb up you and pull on everything.  He says mama and babbles tons.  He still takes 2 naps and does pretty good with those.  He loves to play with Brecken's toys and Brecken doesn't know how he feels about that. He is loving baby food and is a good eater.  We sure do love him.

Kool Aid Hair, and Kid Camp

This week has been a busy one.  Especially for Shaylee.  Her and Her Friend Lena did a kids camp for the week.  Tuesday: Craft Day, Wednesday: Water Day, Thursday: Cooking day, Friday: Outside day.  They put a lot of time into it, and learned a lot.  It was fun to see them pull through with everything and they did amazing.  It was so much fun I forgot to take any pictures.  I forgot to take any pictures.  Before the camp they also came over and dyed their hair with kool- aid.  Addison did purple.  She wished it would've showed up better.  Shaylee did red, and Lena orange.  It definitely worked well, and hopefully it comes out just as easy when it comes time to get it out.

Sand Hallow Lake day

After trying out Quail twice..we decided to hit up sand hollow so some of the kids could play on the beach.  Swimmers Itch was out in full force so I didn't want to have little Landon get it.  He and I played in the sand, but not in the water.  The rest of the family had a blast.  They all learned to Wake surf, and everyone learned to get up by themselves. Well, everyone but Brecken.  He loved the tube, and building castles on the beach.

Kitchen Backsplash

This summer Dean and I decided to try our hand at a little DIY.  We decided to do our back splash, and enlisted the help of my sister and Dad. They pretty much taught us how to do it.  Dean and I just learned from the best.   It was really fun and we learned so much.  There is something said about doing something from start to finish.  We love it and wish we would have done it sooner.

Lake Days

My sister Lisa's family got a boat this summer.  We may have went out twice in one week, because we all had so much fun on it.  The kids love the tube, and trying how to figure out how to wake surf.  I have tried both and don't know how I feel about them, but I do love being out on the lake with the family.   Dean tried surfing and pretty much got up on his first try and was awesome.  Landon likes to be put to sleep on the boat.  He gets in that jacket, and hears the hum of the engine and the wind in his hair...or lack thereof, and he is out.  We sure have had some fun so far out on the lake this summer.
