Dickens Festival (Ballroom)

Addison is on the ballroom team this year and is loving it.  Their team had the opportunity to perform at the dickens festival during the day on a Thursday.  It was just me that went to watch her and she did amazing.  Her dances were so cute and it was fun to watch her up on stage.  She hates most of her costumes but doesn't mind the red one that she dances to in little saint nick.  The other song they did was to Sha-boom.  

 

November 21st-27th

We were able to talk to Preston on Monday the kids weren't in school so they had a chance to see him too.  Preston was pretty excited to tell us about a couple baptisms he had that last weekend.  He had a great story to tell us about the baptisms.  He said the dad was supposed to get baptised with his kids but was struggling getting of alcohol but he showed up to the church with a nice jersey and some dress slacks.  He wore all his best clothing and then proceeded to open his trunk with hot chocolate and cookies to hand out to all the people coming to church.  (like a tailgate party). Preston couldn't stop laughing about it as he told us the story. Him and his companion had a good week and were able to contact a few new people.  He did have a little issue with his wallet this week.  He had it taken on the bus.  He lost his license, mission card, and his card from back home.  He has been having to have his companion pay for his transportation and other essentials.  We are hoping to get him a new card, but don't think he will get it any time soon.  Hopefully we will figure it out.

 

Nov 14-20th

We got to talk with Preston before thanksgiving.  They were hoping to be able to baptise a few people this coming Sunday and were doing follow ups with them during this week.  They went on their p day and saw a big statue of Mary.  Over there they have so many statues of Mary and worship her maybe even more than Christ.  He is in high spritis and loves his area and Elders in his Zone he is over.
