Last BYU Football game of the season

 The kids wanted to hit up the last regular season home football game during Thanksgiving break so they left Saturday morning to head out and get to the game in time.  The weather had turned really cold and I  honestly didn't think they would make it the whole game with how cold it was.  They waited 2 hours in the cold before the game to save their seats and then 3 hours for the game.  They were cold, but it didn't stop them from watching an awesome game.  We went away with the win 30-18, and ended our season with only 2 loses.  Shaylees raynaud's came out in full force on her hands and feet.  So of course she had to take pictures to send to us,  Glad these kids are enjoying their time up there.  When they aren't studying that is. lol

Turkey Shoot (Well not really)

Thanksgiving weekend we talked everyone into going shooting.  My younger boys can't remember the last time they went or if they even have went shooting.  They were pretty excited to go.  Addison had to work, and the older kids had left for provo because they wanted to make it back for the last home Football game.  We had grandma and grandpa, Stephanie, and Lisa and Devs family with us.  There were so leftover pumpkins out there and Brecken had a blast destroying them over and over again.  There was nothing left of them when he was finished with it.  Landon was a little nervous because of the noise, but once he started and hit his first target he was hooked.  Both boys loved it and we were so glad to have grandpa there who taught the kids about gun safety.  After we were done with all the target practice we threw out the clay pigeons and had a blast shooting them.  I  got my first one in over 30 years probably, so that was really fun for me. The boys I  don't think tied the clay pigeons.  The gun was to heavy for them and they didn't want the kickback from them, but honestly they weren't that bad at all.   We had some pretty good guns that were lighter.

 

Thanksgiving

We started our Thanksgiving day with a little Turkey Trot with our little family.  Everyone ran except Landon rode his bike.  We decided to run to Grandpa and Grandma's house.  It's about 2 miles there. Brecken was our hardest one, but I  cant complain becasue he did awesome.  Onlly having to walk like twice for a couople seconds. He hated it the whole time but Preston adn I  stayed with him the whole run and he finished.  Everyone did so good.  When we got to the grandparents house I had quite a few kids who wanted a ride home after we warmed up and talked for awhile.  Dean and Addison were the only takers to run home.  I  had to get home and get ready.  I  was in charge of bringing mashed potatoes, so I  got the boys busy working on peeling all the potatoes while they watched the Macy's Thanksgiving parade.  Thanksgiving was at 1:00 on the Eves side this year.  It was a beautiful day and it was so fun to all be together with nowhere to be and we all could just relax.  We ate so much good food and stayed tell way to late playing games, talking, and watching football of course.  The next day was pretty nice as well so The boys, Addison, Stephanie and myself hit up some tennis.  The boys had been begging to go play with aunt stephanie.  They sure do love her.
