Winner Winner

Had to document that I won the March madness brackets I  was in with some family.  I  would have destroyed everyone if my team Duke wouldn't have flopped the last minute of their last game, but since Houston didn't pull out the win for Steph or Dean I  got the victory.  Now to figure out what I  want as my winnings.  It was a large blizzard for everyone else but I  don't really eat ice cream so.... 

 

Angles

We didn't have hardly any wind last night so i'm calling it a win.  Landon had 2 great hits made it home from them, and had a couple out's.  His coach has decided not to do practices and just do games, but then last night he kept yelling at them for not throwing it where he wanted them to.  I'm like look if you don't want practices don't yell at the kids for not knowing what to do.  They did great though.  There was only 6 on our team and the other team had 12, but we held our own and Landon had fun and learns quickly.

 

Sheep.

We did a rough shearing of our sheep this weekend and weighed them all to see where they were at for the stock show in a few weeks.  Addison's made the cut at 102 lbs.  Brecken's is 90 lbs and needs to gain another 10 to be able to be in the stock show.  We are upping his feeding as well as 2 other sheep who are smaller then his and we put them in the same pen hoping they will eat better and we can give them more feed.  We took them for a walk Sunday in between conference sessions and practiced setting them and moving with the judges.  Brecken has a lot of work to do, but as least his isn't as aggressive as Addison's.  Man I sure hope we make it with that darn sheep at the stock show.

 

Family Golf day

The big kids came down again the weekend after the half marathon because Preston had a pre op apt for his face surgery Friday, and Shaylee was a bridesmaid on Friday for her friend Harlee. On Saturday after soccer and in between conference we fit in some family golf the college kids had to do for their golf class in the massive wind storm Hurricane has been having the last month.  They got the videos they needed though and we were able to hit 4 buckets of balls.  The wind either made the shot extra good or really sent them going the opposite of what we hit. 

 

Final Soccer game

The first Saturday in April was our last soccer game of the season.  All the family was together again because of a wedding and Dr. apt.  They all came to watch Landon play.  He got off a couple goals and our team had a great game.  The wind was awful and I  was miserable coaching in it but you wouldn't even know it was windy and cold with the way the boys were playing.  Half of them asked if they could take off their jerseys during the game.  Us parents are on the side lines in jackets and blankets trying to not let the wind get to us.  The team had a great season and we were undefeated.  It was fun to coach these boys and see how much they learned.  It was fun for Landon to have some of his friends on our team.  

 

Volleyball last game of regular season

Brecken and his team had back to back volleyball games last Wednesday.  It was rough for the whole team.  They enforced the serving line and our boys just couldn't get it over or stepped on the line every time.  Brecken had a few good serves and some great hits to help his team.  He has come a long way and is doing really well with digging and moving to where he needs to be to help his team out.  This was the last day of regular play.  We will play tournaments round next week to see where we end up.  Hopefully our serves improve before then.
