Bear Lake 2012

Eves Family Trip
We try to go up every year to Bear Lake at least once.  We grew up spending some of our summer up in Bear Lake building my grandpa's cabin.  So now it's a given we keep the tradition alive.  We always make it up for Raspberry day's.  This year we knew it would be a little lonely because half our family lives in Florida, but through some surprises we were able to have both Justin,Katie's family, and Lisa, and Tynlee come to Bear Lake for a few days.  We were very excited to say the least.  We didn't get up there tell Thursday morning around 10:30.  When we arrived we changed straight into our swimming suits, and hopped back in the car to meet everyone at the lake for some boating.  It's been awhile (18 years) since I've been skiing, so when I was up, I couldn't help but give it a try.  It took a couple tries for me to remember...but I did get up and enjoyed a quick ski before I turned it back over to the kids for more tubing.  My kids have never been tubing, so they were a little apprehensive.  Shaylee went first with her cousin Tanner.  Then Jaden and Preston decided to have a turn.  Of course Addison and Emily couldn't be out done, still cant decide how much these two really liked it or not.  They kept yelling only go 2 grandpa, then 1, then it turned to 0.  So who knows.  We did laugh at them trying to give us the signals with there little hands.  Dean of course had to show the kids how he skies, and how to do barrel rolls with the tube.

They were pretty impressed...as was I.  We had a great time hanging out at the beach, but had to get home so we could make it to the Parade in garden city at 6:00.  One of the funnest parades I've been to.  I couldn't help get a little excited with all the kids.  We then of course had to get yummy burgers and Raspberry shakes.  We then walked around the Booths to see what cute things we want, but never get.  After which we went home, and watched the Olympics.

Friday we woke up and had a couple Birthday's to celebrate, Chloe's and Marci's, so we went to the Ranch Hand Inn.  Marci had to work, but we were thinking about her, and would include her in all our birthday songs.  We had a yummy breakfast, and headed over to the golf course to say Hi, to Matt, and Marci, then headed back to the cabin, and hung out, and got ready for Chloe's baptism and birthday dinner that evening. The baptism was great and Chloe looked beautiful.  We headed back to the cabin for a wonderful meal, and of course had to have a Birthday pinata.

Saturday morning we were all a little lazy and enjoyed the wonderful weather and played around the cabin.  The kids made some jewelry and tried selling it out front of the cabin.  Grandpa of course had to go and give everyone some money that was at the cabin, and told them to go buy some of the kids stuff. (Best Grandpa EVER) just saying.  They did get a little out of hand and started putting price tags on all sorts of things. Like the bounce house all the kids play in they started charging everyone 3$ to enter. No taker..go figure.  We also took some time to go pet the horses.  The girls  loved trying to feed them.

By 12 then we headed off to the first annual Williamson golf tournament .  It was a lot of fun to be at my Brother Matt's course and with the family.  They were nice enough to let us all go golf.   We of course had a great time...but there can only be one winner.  My uncle Mark, Darren, Jason, and Jessica were the winning team with a 4 under.  We made it back to the house around 5, made some dinner, played some Volleyball, made a couple hair bands for the girls, and watched some Olympics.  Also ending the night with a wonderful Shake.  Cant beat that.  We had to leave Sunday morning to get off the mountain for Dean to take his last final.  Which he aced by the way.  We had fun...and cant wait to see everyone again.
