Beat the Man

Landon's coaches set up a game he wanted the boys to complete this summer. He had a game called beat the pro. You have to go against the guy which is each basket you made you got a point each you missed the guy got a point. Landon won beat the guy easy enough It's the first to 21. Landon beat the guy the first day. The next level was beat the man. Beat the man was you get a point for every basket you made and if you missed a shot the man got 2 points. It was the first to 21 again. Landon loved this activity and stayed outside most the afternoon practicing. We had to watch him or recored him beating each level and by the end of the day he had beat the man twice. He was so close to beating the pro which was each shot is worth one point and each shot missed was 3 for the pro. He had practiced for the week and was so close to winning the pro before he went back to basketball practice. While he was at practice he beat the Pro. He was so excited that coach was there to watch and see him accomplish his goal of beating the pro. He won a big trophy and treats. He was pretty excited only one other boy had accomplished it with him on the team. He is working hard and has a beautiful shot. He loves to work hard and be good at what he does.

Boating

Preston came down to sale this truck and had a friend so Lisa invited us to go boating for the day. It was a Friday so Dean had it off. We didn't get out as early as we usually did, but it wasn't too busy. It was still busy, but not as bad as it could have been. Preston's friend Blake had never tried surfing so we spent a lot of time teaching him and getting him up. Because of all the turning around to get back to him when he fell I got sick. As long as we stayed straight I do fine. Its all the circling that gets me sick. Brecken is getting better but still doesn't love it.

Jellystone and Friends

Jellystone was on our list for one of the first thing we did this summer. We had bought passes for Christmas. The boys invited some friends who also had passes and we had the whole day to play. It was a nice day and we arrived right when it opened at 11:00. The boys did all the slides while it wasn't too busy. After that they went down to the wibit and played there for a couple hours. They stayed busy and came back to grab some lunch and were back out playing again. I was able to follow along with Landon and Miles, and also read a book I had been wanting to read for awhile. They stayed for 6 hours playing and they could and would have stayed longer if I didn't have to get Miles back to his family around 5:00. It was a good day.
