We reached Centerville around 4:00 Wednesday afternoon, 1 hour later we were put to work. We headed over to the church to set up for the big thanksgiving feast with all of the Monson family, Plus Haldeen's side of the family. (We were also celebrating Grandpa Gunnell's 100th Birthday). So we had about 60 people coming. We woke up bright and early to a Beautiful Thanksgiving day. We started it out with our first annual Monson Family Turkey Trot. We even got grandma and grandpa to come. Yay!! We didn't go to far since we had all the kids. When we got home grandma and taken time to make the kids cute turkey pancakes. The kids loved this and put them together quiet fast. Look how cute they turned out. We then got ready to head out to the church to get ready for the big day.
It started with eating, then onto a baby blessing, after that we watched a great movie of Grandpa Gunnells life that Grandpa Kirk had put together. It was really fun to watch. After We had a Turkey shot. (Dean was the Turkey) the kids got to through marshmallows at him. Dean also preformed a Boy Named Sue. We sang Happy Birthday, had birthday cake, the kids preformed for the talent show, we had Grandpa preform the Christmas Dragnet. After that we did family pictures, and the nativity...plus I'm sure I missed something along the way, but it was so much fun, and a wonderful day. Grandpa and Grandma Monson always go out of their way to make everything so nice and fun for everyone. We love them so much and we love to visit them.
The next day Dean, Brecken, and I got up and headed out to do some Shopping. See what was left over from the night before. I hate they put shopping on Thursday. I didn't go to boycott it. Grandpa Monson said that will make them think about putting it on Thanksgiving day again next year. Ha Ha. After so shopping we headed up to see my Grandma and Grandpa Williamson. the kids Great Grandparents. I Love seeing them. They are so much fun to be around, and I'm glad my kids have gotten to know them. After that we headed back to centerville, for a little more shopping then off to dinner and a Jazz game. We LOVED the Jazz game. Everyone did so well. Even Addison and Brecken who wasn't feeling so well. We were really high up but it was just fun to be there. We went with Dean's sister Marie, and her family.
Saturday we had a more slower morning. It was nice to take it slow. We did end up getting a lunch and then heading out to go Ice Skating for the first time for me and my family. Dean showed the kids how, and was a very patient and great teacher. I set with Brecken, tell about 20 minutes left, then Heidi watched Brecken, while Dean taught me to Ice Skate. It was great fun, and I loved it.
After Ice Skating we headed down as a family to visit Aunt Stephanie. We went to dinner, then headed to temple square to see the beautiful lights. Not to cold, but definitely to busy. We still had fun being in each other's company. We headed home early because Brecken had been fighting getting sick, and it hit him really bad that day. He ended up getting really bad, Dean called in a persciption that night, and I'm so thankful he could do that. It saved us from going into the ER that night. We had a great time and enjoyed every ones company.
