The 24th of JULY

We had a very relaxing 24th of July.  We enjoyed the parade.  The kids were on our ward float.  They had decorated it the day before.  Breck enjoyed getting most of the candy.  Since the 24th parade, is all about the primary wards in our stake, all the kids were on the float. So Breck took a lot of loot home.  After the parade we enjoyed all the booths at the community center most are free, or 1$ or less.  The kids had a blast trying out a lot of the games.  In the tug of war they had kids verses mothers.  They had a ton of kids a lot of older boys, and hardly any mothers.  They kept calling for mothers, I looked over and noticed I had 2 of my kids on the kid side, so I helped out the cause and got on the side with the mothers.  I think we had 7 total…maybe.  I knew we didn't stand a chance when I saw the kids side, but we gave it our all and lasted maybe 5 seconds!! The were strong.  After the fun games, we headed to Grandma, and Grandpa Eves, where we decided to go out to lunch, then onto swimming at the pool.  We haven't been swimming for awhile.  We've been out of town, then grandpa and grandma got there pool fixed which made it out of commission for a little bit, so the kids were excited to swim for the day.  Later we got a yummy dinner, then settled in for the night to watch a movie together.  I sure do love this family of mine, and the pioneers who went before us, and made it possible that we could be where we are today.

Bath Time

While we were on one of our vacations this summer, my mother in law put Brecken in her tub upstairs. I haven't put him in a bath in forever.  He's been showering at least for the last year and 1/2.  He loved it.  He was in heaven.  I think he could have stayed in there for most of the day and be content.  She reminded me about how much fun kids have in the bath.  So since then we do at least a once a week bath to break up the showering.  This kids loves it.

FAMILY TIME

Last weekend the weather was perfect.  We headed out with our bikes and hit some trails in our old neighborhood.  It was so fun.  The kids did awesome, and they kept up even passed us a few times.  We made it up all our steep hills, and the kids loved the tunnels.  Afterwards we played at the park for awhile and did a few America ninja warrior obstacle courses.  My kids don't look at a park and just want to play they look at a park like a ninja course.  Later that day we played baseball in the rain, and had a blast just relaxing and not needing to be anywhere, it was great.  I love days like this.

A little Vacation

UVU Soccer Camp
& Visiting Aunt Stephie aka..Stebie
7 days after we got back from our wonderful vacation, the kids and I turned around and headed back up with out dad.  We left Sunday afternoon.  Preston had a Soccer camp at UVU all week tell Thursday.  We stayed at Aunt Stephanies house seeing it was the closest option, even then we were still about 35 minutes away.  We arrived at Aunt Stephanie house Sunday.  Brecken was a only old cuss, had a fever, didn't nap the whole way, and cried.  So we were all REALLY excited to see our Aunt.  She fed us a great dinner, and then we had ice cream, watched a a movie, and enjoyed the nice evening.   Monday morning we woke up bright and early to get everyone ready and out the door by 7:15.  I wanted to give myself enough time to find the place.  We of course got lost and spent the half hour i had left looking for the right place.  We at least got there on time.  He had about 7 players from his team back home that came up to this camp.  So that was really fun for him to have some friends.  The practiced from 9-12, so while he was there the girls, Breck, and I had a little fun.

Of course our first stop of the day was to Krispy Kreme Donuts.  Brecken loved watching the donuts be made,  We were probably there a  good 40 minutes just watching.  We then got our free sample, after we already bought of Dozen.  We love the donuts so we saved the box for all of us to eat later with Aunt Stephanie.  We then went to the mall, and a few stores for back to school shopping.  We didn't have much success, but still had fun.  We then picked up Preston grabbed a lunch, and headed to Stephanie's, so get a little nap in before we went to the Rec. Center.  The kids were in heaven, and loved the slides.  Brecken was pretty much cold the whole time, and didn't' like any of the toys we took him on.  He only wanted to stay in the lazy river.  So we did that for quiet sometime.  Aunt Stephanie got off work early to come with us, and of course the kids couldn't get enough of her.  We then headed home where Steph made us a yummy dinner, and we all got ready for bed.  Next day Tuesday we were up bight and early again to head out for more soccer, and shopping.  After the successful shopping day and splash pad, we met up with Preston, and went and saw inside out with some friends from soccer.  The kids loved it.  So did I really.  Cute show with a cute message.  We then headed back to Stephanie, where we met up with them for Dinner at the Blue Lemmon, and then onto Leatherby's for Desert.  It was delicious.  The ice cream there is amazing and so soft and yummy,  The two choices filled us up so fast we couldn't even finish them.  We then headed back home to finish our last night at aunt Stephanie's.  She has a old fashioned push mower so I made Preston mow her lawn to see how it felt, and then Addison went around the edges with scissors.  They actually had more fun doing this kind of lawn care, then ours.  They said Stephanie's was easier then ours.  Ha Ha.  We headed home the next morning after I dropped Preston off.  He was staying with our good friends the Hatches for the one extra day so I could get back home.  Preston went to 7 peaks that day with most of his buddies, and hasn't stopped talking about it.  Guess we will be making our way up there with the family.  The girls can't wait to go.  So we had a great time and loved spending what we could with Aunt Stephanie.  WE sure love her and wish we saw her more.  She is the best.
