Summer Vacation part 4

Another Lake day/ 3-4th of July

We left Thursday morning from Bear Lake in order to make it down the mountain to go to Deer Creek, in Heber City.  We were going to meet The Monson side of the family up there and ride the Mellen's Wave Runner's.  The kids were so looking forward to that.  They had a blast,  and the weather was nice and warm.  Brecken loved the little floating island they had set up in the lake, as well as the jet ski's.  Preston tried his hand at driving and Dean said he did really well.  Shaylee, and Addison loved the ride,  Addison likes the go straight and don't turn strategy were as Shaylee liked to turn a lot to create waves to go through.  Grandma Monson brought all the kids buckets and shovels, and the kids all had a blast trying to build the best sand castle with them.  They were a hit.  Breck feel asleep half way through which I was glad.  He had missed his nap the day before because of the lake day, so this was much needed.  As he slept he kept crying out ouch like he was in pain, I finally realized he had diarrhea in his swim diaper and it had been burning up his bum while he slept.  When finally got him undressed it was blistered and bleeding.  He would not let me wipe at all, plus it had been on there for so long it wouldn't come off.  He wouldn't stop crying after that so we decided 4 1/2 hours was good enough for us and we headed to Grandma's to clean up everyone.  We had such a fun day, and I think our vacation was catching up to us, we all slept really well that night.

The next day the kids went to a movie, while I let Breck nap.  We were going to have another late night staying up to watch Centerville's fireworks.  They do the children's parade, and Fireworks the day before the 4th (We love this tradition).  We headed over to the parade, and got all our pictures before it started.  Breck was not happy about pictures with his brother and sisters, but he loved his balloon so I got a couple OK ones of him.  It was a hot one up there this year, so we were all a little hot and ready for the parade to be over.  Good thing the parade is about 5 minutes anyway.  After the parade we ate our pace Popsicles, and headed out to eat Pizza with the family.  After dinner we had time to spare so grandma got pictures with everyone there.  Then it was onto the fireworks.  We had great spots, and Brecken just kept saying wow.  over and over.  Well, that and he would set and name the colors as they  exploded in the sky.  Kinda annoying but to cute to have him stop.  After the fireworks we headed home because we had to get up bright and early for the big parade.

We woke up early to get to the Centerville parade.  We love this parade, and they company we are with.  Grandma made a great Breakfast then my little family took off walking to get to our saved spots on the parade route.  Brecken LOVED the parade.  He wouldn't stop clapping, hoping  he would get more candy.  He would also scream and yell while he clapped to get the drivers attention.  Many of the people saw him and through a big handful his way.  Of course the big kids, and a lot of strangers got most of it, but he managed great on his own, and my kids gave him tons.  Which he didn't need.  He was in heaven.  They had some awesome floats, and a lot of free stuff.  We always get way more then we need.  After the parade we headed back to grandma and grandpa Monson's for a BBQ, and to hang out with everyone.  The kids were in Heaven being with their cousins.  It was fun to catch up on every ones lives, and visit.  We were so poop from our trip that we decided to keep it low key that night.  We ended up getting ice cream, and staying in to watch the SL Real Soccer game.  Plus, some of us did watch fireworks, we watched them off grandma's patio.  We loved this trip and couldn't believe it had come to an end so quickly.  We were exhausted, and happy when the trip ended.  We didn't want to head back to a job, and laundry, cooking, cleaning…you name it…we just didn't want to get back to real life.  Thanks everyone for such a great trip, family is what makes it so FUN.
