Student Council campaign prep...

We found out Preston made the cut for campaigning Thursday, so we went to work planning his video he had to present to everyone.  We wanted to get this done first, because neither Dean or I had ever made a video and we wanted to make sure we gave ourselves plenty of time to figure it out, and edit things.  So Friday evening after soccer we spent an hour or so getting our video put together.  We had tons of help, and it was a lot of fun.  The boys and girls were all such good sports.  The video was due Tuesday, but we knew with Brecks birthday Monday we needed it done over the weekend.  We also had to make a campaign poster.  only one so I won't complain there.  Then we have handout day, we had to make over 300 handouts to campaign on Wednesday to his classmates.  We went with this whole insure theme with the video so we tried to follow that theme throughout the whole week and into anything we did.  The poster goes along with the video skit we did with the different insurance people. then the handout goes along with a insurance theme, and we did a bracelet because it goes on the wrist/hand, and thought that would be something the kids don't just eat and toss, they wear it and will remember to vote for Preston, but of course some kids just want the food, so we threw in some suckers as a good measure for any kids who just want the treat and not the bracelet.  So hopefully we covered our bases.  I go in tomorrow to help Preston hand out his treats, and then Thursday they will show the videos and Friday they will vote.  By Friday after school we should know if Preston made the cut or not for 7th grade student council.
