Fall/Halloween Fun

Dean and Brecken had the opportunity to go with Kai and Quin to a local corn maze.  They have this cool bus they have decked out with paint ball guns, and they take you on a ride through the field to try and hit zombies.  The boys had a blast and ran out of paint balls fairly fast, becasue of how excited they were to shoot.  They then let the boys hang out at the farm and play with some of the stuff while Dean and Quin talked.  The younger boys begged me to make Halloween sugar cookies as well.  I  gave in and remembered why I  don't care for sugar cookies and all the work they in-tell.  They tasted good though and the boys had fun so I  guess that is all that matters.  We are so excited for Halloween this year.  Covid is not stopping us from trick or treating around here.

Brecken get's Braces

We knew Brecken would need two different sets of braces right from the get go.  He had a really bad underbite that never corrected itself, and his team came in every which way and didn't have much room.  They first put on an extender.  This was in the top of his mouth and we would have to rotate it once a day to tighten it.  It was tightened so that his top mouth could get wider.   When he bites down they wanted it wider to go over his bottom teeth.  After 2 months of that they added braces to the mix.  He cant even fully close his mouth because they had to put so much glue on his teeth so his bottom and top teeth wouldn't touch and it would force them to move forward or backwards depending on where they were.  He will have the extender on for another 4-6 months. Then braces for 2 years.  He will get them off and lose the rest of his baby teeth and then we will have to get them back on again in his teenage years.  He's a tough one though and didn't complain at all.  The ortho says it's been awhile since he has had to deal with such a bad set of teeth.

Preston as Jack the Skeleton.

Lisa and Devin talked Preston into being Jack the Skeleton for their Halloween night at Sweet rolled Tacos. He was paid enough he thought it would be worth it, but didn't love the idea at all.  We talked Dean into going down and helping Preston feel comfortable, and I  guess it was so busy they both stayed busy the whole 2 hours they were there.  Preston with pictures, and Dean with dishes and register.

Fall Soccer 2020

Brecken and Landon both did fall soccer this year.  It was great to have Landon finally be on a team.  I  coached Breckens team, and had the best set of boys.  We had a blast.  We were undefeated and had a great season of learning.  Brecken scored a few goals this year and really improved a ton.  It was fun watching him learn the game and grow and understanding for it.  Landon was in the 3-4 year old division.  They were a hoot to watch.  He pretty much has down what he is supposed to do in the game.  He scored a handful of goals as well, and loved kicking the ball down the field.  He did not however like it when his own team mates would steal the ball or push him over.  We had a great season and beautiful weather.  Cant wait for Spring season....But first Basketball.

Blackline swim with Brecken.

This fall Brecken has been doing Blackline swim team with his cousin Kai.  They had their first swim meet and both did great.  Brecken did the backstroke 25 mm, the breaststroke 25mm, and the 50 and 100 freestyle.  He took 3rd in the backstroke which is his least favorite and hardest.  He took first in the breaststroke, and 2nd in both the freestyles.  He still has a lot to learn, but he looks great in the water.

Landon Turns 4!

Man this kids has been waiting 364 days tell his birthday.  We really haven't heard the end of it since his last birthday got over.  It was a very long year for him and us.  ha ha.  The days and weeks even months leading up to it he couldn't go a day without brining it up and asking how much longer and what he would like.  The morning of his birthday he woke up 2 times in the night to make sure it was his birthday in the morning, and to make sure we had donuts and balloons when he woke up.  It was a long night.  It was so worth it though to see this little guys excitement and smile.  He kept saying Happy birthday mom, Happy birthday dad, Happy birthday.  He thought when we told him happy birthday he had to tell us as well.  He is still very much into paw patrol so that was what most of the gifts were.  He loves the color blue, and red. (for chase, and marshal off of paw patrol).  He isn't the best eater, but loves to snack all day long.  His favorite food is Zoodles, and chicken.  He loves all sports and is really coordinated and good at most of them.  He is a left foot boy.  Kicks left foot, scooters left foot, you name it he does it with his left foot.  He used to throw and stuff with his left hand but has since changed over.  He learned to ride his bike a few months after he turned 3.  He is a go getter and cant be left behind with his siblings.  He is crazy and I have told many of people he will be my first kid who breaks a bone.  He give the best hugs and is so loving to his mom and dad.  He is so smart, and had all his letters and sounds learned colors, shapes before he turned three.  This year he has been leaning numbers and is in Happy day preschool 2 days a week.  He cant wait to go to big kid school, and I'm okay with him being home with mom a little longer. We sure do love this caboose.
