Preston's Birthday Festivities

18th Birthday, Knights Game, Utah Rose Bowl Game
Our baby boy turned 18 on Dec, 30th this year.  Time is a thief, but also its been a joy to watch him grow up into the young man he is and is becoming.  Preston has a friend that has the same birthday as him.  The last 2 years they get a bunch of friends and go to top golf in vegas or circus circus.  So we all woke up early on his birthday for him to open gifts and get him breakfast, and for us to head out to Shaylees basketball tournament.  He said he had a blast down in Vegas, and when he got home so me of his friends threw him a little party.  The next morning Dean and Preston had to get up early again to head down to a Golden Knights Hockey game.  Dean had got Preston tickets for his birthday.  Before they left though Preston got a covid test to that after the hockey game he could meet up with our neighbors and friends and head down to the Rose Bowl, that Utah was playing in.  It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and he was so excited he was able to go.  They got tickets last minute to a guy that was selling them for 50$.  That was insane considering our neighbor had to pay 400-500 for his and even the cheapest were 150 going online by people who couldn't go anymore.  Preston and Dean had a blast at the hockey game, and it was preston's first one so he really enjoyed watching all the people and fighting as well.lol.  After the game Dean headed home for New Years Eve, and Preston was picked up in Vegas by his friends to spend the night there and then wake up the next morning to head to California on New Years Day.  The game was really fun to watch as it went back and forth between the two teams.  Preston said the atmosphere was incredible and crowd was great.  They ended up losing by 3 to ohio.  They all decided to push through and drive home after the game.  Preston pulled in about 2:00 a.m. and we had him up for church the next morning by 8:30...he was not a happy camper.   He sure has grown a bunch this year as a person and has loved school, exect, golf, tennis, going to all the school activities and games, and being with his friends for his senior year.  We sure do love him and are excited to see what the future holds for him.
