Preston's Mission Call

Right when we got back from spring break we learned that Preston's mission call had come.  One of his best friends had come the same day.  I started prepping, and Preston went to school and had a tennis match.  Peston and Nate had to play a good team from Dixie that day.  They did awesome and took them to 3 sets but ended up losing to them. It should be a fun season for these boys.  I was a ball of nerves all day, and Preston was as well.  We opened at 8:30 so that would give most of the sports people time to come...(we missed some of the boys from the soccer team, they had games that go tell 9:30).  We ran across the street to Payton's house and heard where he was going.  He was called to serve in the Mexico, Mexico City Mission and leave July 25 spanish speaking. Then everyone went from Payton's over to our house where we tried our best to wait for family that was running late, but Preston couldn't wait anymore.  So we started and they straggled in.  He is called to Serve in the Paraguay, Asuncion mission.  Spanish Speaking.  I was so shocked.  I for sure that state side or Canada.  He leaves July 18 well he starts home MTC July 18th for 2 weeks and then he heads out to the Mexico MTC for the rest of his training. He is excited because a few his best friends will be at the Mexico MTC while he is there. I'm so proud of him and his testimony he has.  He will be a great missionary and I'm excited to watch him learn and grow.  We all cried that night, but I think Landon took it the hardest...he didn't want Preston to leave home.  I told him he still had time to stay with us and then would come back when he was ready to be baptized.  He got excited for that.  I love my family and this gospel so much and am so blessed.
