Car Accident

Friday night after we got are passports and dinner all squared away Addison asked if she could hang out with Emily.  Around 6:50 or so we got a call with Addison screaming or crying hysterically.  I  knew immediately she had been in a car accident.  She couldn't talk to us so we had Emily get on the phone and tell us where they were at.  We learned they were out by the airport in Hurricane so we started driving to them.  Addison made it sound like they hit a fence but everyone was okay.  I  called my dad to see if he could help pull her home with his truck. I  told him where we were headed...it was right by him.  When were got there though there we realized that this was a bigger mess than we thought and we were lucky no one else was around and got hit, and that both the girls were okay.  We had to wait for over a hour to get any police to come to us.  They were having a busy night and since no one was injured they said they would send someone when they could. We got a tow truck to come and were also able to get ahold of the airport security people so they could let us in the airport to let the tow truck in to get the car out.  What happened from what the girls say is Addison was going about 48 in a 45 zone she went around a corner and blew a tire.  It locked up her steering wheel and she panicked.  Well instead of slamming on the brake she put her foot on the gas.  They spun into the airport fence and went through it then continued down quite a ways tell they hit the fence again and came to a stop.  The airbags all went off and the car was totalled.  Addison had some scrapes and said her wrist and knee hurt a little bit.  Emily said she was fine, until the shock wore off then she said her arm/wrist hurt.  So we tried taking her up to instacare when we were all through with the cops, but they were closed down for the evening. Emily's mom had come, but then left after waiting forever to go on a date with another couple.  My mom and dad stayed the whole time while we waited.  THey are the best. We got home around 9:00.  After seeing the car and damage the next day the girls were so blessed and watched over that night.  So many little things ended up being big blessings.  No one else was on the road, they both came away okay, The fence poll that went through the window on Emily's side didn't make it all the way through which would have impaled her.  The big cement pole they tore out of the ground didn't make it through the windshield or any windows.  They were able to keep the car upright.  A few times Addison commented on feeling like they were on 2 wheels.
