July 25th-31st

Preston was getting ready for transfers this next week so him and his companion were speculating who would get transferred and what was going to happen.  Preston was pretty certain that he would be staying in the area and his greenie comp was getting the transfer.  His companion had been there longer then Preston and they both didn't think they would whitewash the area. They were still struggling to find people to teach they have had to do a lot of work in the branch ward.  They do the sacrament a lot and have to speak and help out a lot in the ward. Preston was out doing some shopping with a his district so we got to talk while he was walking around and then ended up at a church to talk to us.

Bear Lake 2023

We left Wednesday morning on the 26th of July to head up to Bear Lake.  I've been coming here every summer since I can remember.  I  love it! It's changed so much, but still holds all the wonderful memories. It was pretty crowded this week so we decided to stay away from the lake and try some other things.  Our hike to bloomington lake was also closed due to road closures from the hard winter with snow.  The first day we got up there we went start to Bear cave for a shake it took about an hour to get our food and shakes.  We played some card games and enjoyed the wonderful weather outside.  The next morning we had a pretty relaxed day.  We all went over to grandpa Eves subdivision and did some cleaning up around the area.  We got that all done and came back home to lunch.  We then had some go back to monti to golf and the rest of us played around the house.  We then went into garden city and ate at La Beau's for dinner and then Grandma Eves bought everyone a sweatshirt from our favorite store.  After that we came home and lit some fireworks left over from the 24th, played outside and played some card games.  Friday we woke up and headed down to a new place to go Tubing the river.  The weather was nice and warm and surprisingly enough the river wasn't too cold either.  I  rode with Brecken and we had a great time.  We only ran into a few rocks and the side of the bushes once.  Grandma and Grandpa had a little rougher ride and seemed to hit into everything.lol.  We floated the river for a few hours.  The drive down to Preston is about an hour as well so that took up most of our day.  When we got back We got Pizza and a few of us went and walked the golf course.  Mom, Steph, Shaylee, and Dean.  I  went along for the walk.  It was a beautiful day.  Saturday morning we went on a hunt to find the bald Eagles nest that was close by our cabin.  The Eagles had just had 2 babies and we wanted to watch for them.  We did that for couple hours and then headed out for our annual Eves golf tournament.  This year it was boys against girls.  We all had a blast.  Addison drove around Aunt Amy, and I  drove Grandma Hannah.  The girls had some pretty good holes and ended up with the win of -5 under.  The boys had -3 under.  It was pretty close.  After golfing we headed to dinner at a Hula grill place for some Hawaiian food.  I  took some of the kids to Arctic Circle and ended up taking it home to eat because they took to long to make it.  We played some more card games and got a shake and enjoyed our last night at the cabin.  Sunday we woke up and cleaned everything and headed out for the ride home.
