Halloween

Halloween was on a Tuesday this year.  The Elementary school changed their parade time from last part of school to first part of school.  So I  grabbed mom, Steph, and Amy and headed to the school at 10:00 to watch the boys in the Halloween parade.  Landon was supposed to be a pirate, but had to wear his Spiderman costume one more time because his friend was being Spider Woman. lol.  Brecken throw his costume together that morning with a ref shirt whistle and hat.  After school we carved our pumpkins.  Addison and Shaylee didn't want to carve one but I still made them come out for a picture and to help out with them.  The boys actually did theirs by themselves this year.  I  had to help landon cut some of his front but he cleaned it out and started it.  After pumpkins we got ready in our costumes to head over to Grandma's for Chili (dinner) and to trick or treat.  We met the cousins over there and hung out with them.  Addison dressed up with her friends and tynlee as fairies from pixie hollow.  Shaylee went with some friends to their house to hang out, and I  finally got Landon to wear the stupid pirate costume.  Even though he was not happy about it or the mustache I  drew on him.  We went around grandmas neighborhood and got just the right amount of candy then let the boys go to our home and do around our neighborhood.  They came home with some full size candy bars and full bags.  They then got busy trading candy and sorting them all out.  The weather was a little cooler this year, but not as bad as it was supposed to be so we still enjoyed walking around with the boys.

Oct 24-30th

Preston's zone had set a goal to baptise liek 15 people this last month and nothing was going their way.  Everyone's promising people didn't come to church or backed out of wanting to hear from them.  Preston was a little nervous about the numbers they were going to have to take to president.  He knows its not about the numbers but he was still a little on edge knowing they had not helped as many people as they wanted.  They had this man on date to be baptised but hadn't been able to get a hold of him or see him for like 2 weeks so they gave up on thinking he wanted to still be baptised but the last sunday of the month he showed up and told them he wanted to be baptised that day.  They were so excited for him and started to fill the font as soon as he told them.  Preston's zone ended with 11 baptisms that month and they were all discouraged, but then he realized that 11 people came unto Christ that month. 11 that were not their the month before.  11 children of God and so he held his head high and went to his Zone conference knowing they gave it their best shot.
