We left Wednesday early afternoon for Grandma Monson's house. We knew it would be slow going with all the holiday traffic, but hoped for the best. We ate before we left and had no one need to use the bathroom so besides a few traffic hold ups we made it in good time. The kids went straight to playing with cousins and we were all trying to get used to the cooler temperatures. We ate some sloppy joes for dinner and had a nice time hanging out at Grandmas house. Thursday morning all the kids got up to go play in their own Turkey bowl with Uncle Quin and Dean. I stayed behind to help Grandma Monson with the food and tables. We got everything set up and I went downstairs to start to get ready. The kids came home after that and it was chaos while everyone got cleaned up and then went upstairs to help with Thanksgiving dinner. We were eating around 1:00. Joe and Syd's Family couldn't come because they were all sick so we sure missed them, but had some of Haldeen's Brothers and their families come up so we still had around 40 people. After all the food we went straight into the Nativity and Dean's family traditional dragnet, plus bell playing and then gift exchange. lol. It was a busy but fun day. Some of the family went over to the church to play some pickleball while I helped clean up the kitchen. Preston called then and so we all talked to him for a little bit. They don't celebrate thanksgiving in Paraguay, but they saved some money to go to a nice restaurant to eat that day. So that was something a little bit different and fun for the Elders. Friday we all woke up and the little kids wanted to play at the house while the older kids and parents went to do some shopping. We came away with some good stuff. We then had a pretty laid back day of shopping and hanging out at grandmas house. Saturday we all went Ice Skating, to Outback and played. Some of the family went to the church and played some basketball that night. The kids had a great time and we hardly saw them with all the cousins to play with. We had to head home Sunday morning but enjoyed our Holiday with family.
