Update from THE Elder Monson
| ||
Hey everyone I hope you're all well! I know almost nobody reads these anymore and I'm not good at the
whole email thing but I wanted to put one in for the recent memories. For those that don't know, (which
honestly might be a pretty big portion of people as I don't really communicate with many these days
)

I've been pretty sick for just over 2 weeks now. A couple saturdays ago I got out of bed and fell down. And
It's been pretty bad. The sick people in the mission always have to be in communication with President's
wife so that everyone knows what's going on and we can get the meds and do the things we have to do.
So she sent me to the hospital and they told me I for sure had Chikungunya or Dengue and prescribed me
meds and then told me that just to be sure they wanted to do a test and see if I had it. I did the blood test the
next day and it came back negative, so we were back at square one. That next Sunday our Mission
President and his wife came to our branch. Saw me and talked to me and took me to a fancier hospital.
They did the same test expecting different results because they were fancier and believe it or not it came back
negative as well. Well, I was out most of this week too. We ordered a couple of Bolts or Ubers to go and visit our
friends most progressing to invite them to church but other than that it's been here in the apartment. It's been a battle.
One big long weird bad dream haha.This last month or so has been some battles for Elder Monson but I've been able
to keep learning on applying how to put all my trust in the Savior and knowing that it's okay to not know why. Because
he knows why and will always be there to help guide and love even if we can't see it. So it's been pretty hard and difficult
but I made the decision to try and be like Nephi and not Laman and Lemuel. It's hard honestly. I find myself getting down
on myself and asking why a lot but just try and click the reverse and think of the blessings which are so many. One of
these blessings is that the Lord still does his work. We go once or twice a week like I said ordering ubers to visit our most
progressing friends. This Saturday we have the baptism for Noemi and we are really excited. A huge miracle for us.
I've also been given an incredible comp during this time. Elder Torgersen is like a brother and he's been amazing through
this tough time period. Really incredible the Lord's work. He sent me a stud of a comp. Pray for him though the poor dude is
stuck with me haha, we just had transfers and we're both staying so he has a bit longer with me! Anyways, tomorrow on
Tuesday we go back to the hospital to do some tests and studies and praying that we can find what's going on and then back
to working the hardest we can these last
6 months. Love you all and hope you're all okay! -Elder Monson. (not a lot of pictures because of the sickness and
staying inside all day.
