Shaylee qualified for State golf this year. She was a little nervous because she hated the course we were playing on. State golf was down in St. George this season at SunBrook so that was nice to be able to not have to travel to watch her. Landon and I showed up bright and early for her tee time to cheer her on. She had a great first hole and ended up with a par I do believe. We knew it was going to get windy so she was trying to get in as many holes as they could before the winds picked up in the afternoon. My mom and Stephanie came on hole 6 to finish walking with Landon and I. Around hole 8 the wind started. Shaylee finished out the front 9 with a pretty good score for herself. Starting on the back 9 her least favorite course we started out a little rough. each hole was give or take for Shaylee, but it was fun to walk with her. She ended up with one of her better scores...for herself, but not good enough to move on to the next day. I think she was 3 on the team scoreboard. She has really grown to love golf the last few months and has already been out a ton practicing for next season.
