Woke up Tuesday to start a hike. I had read it's a great fun hike and a popular hike. I also read not for kids under 6 or 7. I heard it was 1.5 miles. also read it had some difficult parts. Dean read it was a mild hike, and wasn't very long. WELP, we were wrong on. most counts. Landon did indeed make it on the hike with Deans help in a few sections. He is 7. The hike is 1.5 to the top and then another 1.5 back so 3 miles. This does not include having to park a mile away just to get up to the hike. lol. It was difficult from the start. Straight up incline the whole time. I got so sick because I had just started my time of the month I had to stop around 1.3 miles in. I waited for everyone to make it to the top. Waved at them and then headed back down with them. The kids could not believe we took them on a double diamond extremely difficult hike. It was after the hike we found the sign. The kids all laughed and got mad at us for not doing our research. They all did great though and we headed back to swim while Shaylee and dean went out golfing to get shaylee ready for her tournament. We swam and hung out at the house while we waited for Shaylee and Dean. When they got back we headed out for some dinner and to do some more shopping and the boys got Ice Cream. We got back and all crashed from a fun filled day.
